Anyone else having any type GT Mini switch problems besides the people I mentioned above??

My Mini GT just arrived through Banggood. Everything seems normal for now, no issues whatsoever. I’ll keep using heavily for the next couple of days and see if anything happens. Let’s hope not.

well my issue started roughly almost a month after i got it, u never know until one day u notice the switch will act up and not before…

When I shake one of my GT Mini’s (I bought 4 from Neal) something inside is rattling. Not sure what it is (because the bezels seems to be glued) but it is not the lens. Maybe the reflector? What else can it be?

Ended up deciding to pick one of these up from Neal also, out of all the places that sell them I think Neal is gonna be the safest when it comes to dealing with issues. Hopefully mine won’t have any issues

I sure am glad I bought from Neal! The way I view BangGood after all of this is that I will always use my credit card and just chargeback if needed. If they ban me, then oh well.

No idea perhaps if u mail Neal he can tell whats wrong?

Update with my Banggood light:

I emailed them about the switch / switch LED and low current issues.
They responded back focusing only on the switch issues (literally ignoring the low current issue) asking for a video and photos.
I provided both forms of proof and they agreed it was bad and asked if they could send just a switch.
I told them no, that just the switch wouldn’t fix the light as both switch and switch LED are bad. I asked that they please send a replacement driver and even at that it’d be letting them off easily as I paid for a working flashlight, not a DIY project but that I would accept that as a solution.
They said that was acceptable to them as well and then the holiday started and I didn’t hear anything back so I emailed them on the 7th only to be told they have now renigged on their offer of ANYTHING and again requested video showing the low current even though they already agreed the light is broke and now we’re at an impasse cause I don’t have enough hands to hold the meter on the light, manipulate the switch and video all at once.

Sorry if this is hard to read to some, I typed it with bullet points cause I forgot that line breaks didn’t work right here.

Seems they are trying to break your spirit.

I was thinking of putting my phone in my gopro adapter, putting it on my gp head band and then making a video of me testing the current where you purposely couldn’t see anything lol.or make the video showing the current but make is 53 minutes into a 2 hour video and not tell them where the clip they need is, just send the link.

Not that I don’t have a wife and kids who could hold the phone, it’s a principal thing. Pretty sure paypal will side with me considering they already agreed the light was bad and agreed to send a replacement…

They are trying the same trick with me.
I escalated the dispute on PayPal.
YOU sell a faulty product, YOU have to ensure the warranty.

I wonder do banggood even report faulty lights to lumintop ? by now there should be a few reports of faulty lights they should ask for replacement heads from lumintop, its afterall they who manufacture the lights, bangood only sells them but ofc need to deal with this proper since new lights should have warranty. Asking for video blabla is just lame, the light is broken still no matter what…

This light is well made. I bought one using the link. Styling is great and i already liked the ramping UI. Unfortunately it’s not quite as bright or as focused as the Emissar D1S. But to be fair at a price point at $32 with a coupon, it’s pretty awesome.

They claim they show the videos to “engineers” and that’s why it’s so important for me to have to take a second video and send it now.

They should be the same and have measured the same by many people. They both have xpl-hi, both have FET drivers and both have the same reflector diameter.

With the same battery and a ceiling test, the GT mini appears slightly dimmer and less focused. I will try other batteries

I just received my 2nd GT Mini a couple of hours ago, this one came from Banggood. Got it with the $32 Coupon wstrachan mentioned.

So far all is working well. The replacement head from Neal is still going strong too. :+1:

Hopefully that will continue for both.

As far as Banggood goes…… They are so big, carry & ship so many different products; that it is highly unlikely any random customer service person we happen to talk to knows anything at all about flashlights.

It is just another product to them…. nothing more. They work off a script of things to request from the customer & settlements to offer in return. And, as has been said before by others; it is their job to wear the customer down in hopes they will give up or accept a sub par settlement for the defective product. :frowning:

It is our job as the recipient of the defective product to calmly not let them succeed.

Calmly stand your ground & they will ‘cave’. At least that has been my experience so far.

It is not necessarialy ‘right’… but in the big scheme of things a few broken flashlights are not ‘top priority’ for them. That is just how it is. To us it is a big deal, to them not so much.

‘Play’ their game , calmly stand your ground, and you will win in the end.
