When going to the (stepped) ramp ceiling from off directly (two clicks), the light may regulate itself to an even brighter level (because target_level is set to MAX_LEVEL?), especially when the ceiling is set to a lower level and enough cooling is applied. However if you go to the ramp ceiling in the other ways (memorize that level and then recall or simply ramp to that level), then it won’t demonstrate this weird behavior.
Not sure if this is intended, just willing to let you know.
Hadn’t noticed this during testing, since the ceiling was generally high enough that it would regulate down instead of up. The fix is a tiny patch though, and doesn’t change the code size at all.
Wow, 7000 lumens, that’s high relative to the XP-L. How long can it last in Turbo before kickdown, is the lumens drop/sag quite a lot? eg at 30 sec, 60 secs.
Yes I got my rot66 sst20 cw. Took almost one month, but it’s worth the wait… the light is included with the aux led and narsil v1.2. I heard newer version are shipped with Anduril…
I measured the lumen with TA tube. I got 6800 lumen with samsung 30q, and 7000 lumen with sony vtc5.
I’m not sure if it throws farther in the ROT66, or just in the GT-Mini. Regardless, the ROT66 isn’t a throwy light no matter which emitters it uses.
As a side note, looking at Vinh’s throw numbers, everything looks about 30% to 40% higher than it should be. I’d suggest multiplying those by about 0.75 to get more accurate numbers.
Vinh’s numbers are a bit higher than measured with Maukka’s calibration but I think 0.75 is a bit much. I think I measured about 1,200 on my XP-L HI 4000k version and others measure 1,2xx lumens with the XP-L 5000k or 6500k version. Vinh measured 1,300 lumens on the 6,500k version.
Edit: Oh sorry you mean throw numbers not lumen numbers.
