I see the GT Mini for $32. Seems like a good deal. Do you think it’ll go any lower on black friday?
thats called "China lotto" ;)
:money_mouth_face: Ha Ha….
Or US Stock Market in last 2 days……
Is 2.5A correct? Surely you would need higher amps to get 2100 lumen?
On a single xml2 2.5A will only get you 750 lumen, maybe.
Edit: I will find out and let you know.
@JasonWW, they are literally copy pasting the BLF GT manual everywhere with that 2.5A turbo of a buck driver, not a FET driver.
That’s what I was thinking. I asked TA if he knew what a more realistic amp draw would be, since he seems to be the only person who has actually used one.
Lexel tested an S42 with a 30Q it drew 10A!
Wasn’t that 9,95A number with the stock driver?
Efficiency on the light was abysmal because of the springs having high resistance for a quad 219C setup, resulting in non-negligible power losses and the spring getting hot(that was on my spring BTW, my experience), along with the FET’s specs being subpar for the purpose.
Yes, stock driver. It was one channel FET. It drew 10A, but output seemed a bit low.
The TA based driver is only in the S43 and is a 2 channel FET + 1 design.
Hopefully TA will answer back about it’s amp draw. He told me previously that the output is still around low 2000’s range. It can definitely be improved with spring bypasses.
Besides the Mateminco version being available in copper, it looks like it also gets a different 18650 battery tube with the finger grooves in it.
Lexels S42 review.
Okay, Texas_Ace says about 10A is what can be expected with your typical high drain cell like a 30Q.
If you bypass the springs you might see 15A.

Nice. The price on your site for haikelite MT03 TA is a bit off
yeah - I will correct asap
atm I try to get the baby to make a nap ;)
What does this mean - (new driver by TA)?
I’m interested in Fitorch P25, but I can’t find any info on the user interface; the link to the manual at the Fitorch website is not working.
For the MT03?
Texas_Ace designed a new driver for the MT03 and MT09R. It is a FET driver and uses NarsilM v1.3.
Originally both of these lights used a Haikelite designed driver and UI, but it was under powered and lacked proper features.
