Thanks for the picture klrman. The ROT66 looks to have a very nice beam too.
And I love the fact that it appears to be a ‘True NEUTRAL White’!!
Q8 on the left & ROT66 on the right…. correct??
The ROT66 has NO ’Yellow tint’ that puts in in the Warm White category of the Original Q8.
TRUE NEUTRAL WHITE…… FF got it right!!! . :+1:

@teacher, yes Q8 on the left. The ROT66 XPL Hi V3 3A NW is the real deal, it's what I have been always hoping for

I was hoping for 8-9k lumens but I guess 7k lumens is still impressive for the size.

Seems like it could do more on paper. Anyone do spring bypasses or other mods yet?

:+1: Gotcha, I was pretty sure it was.
That is really nice too… a “neutral white” that is actually ’Neutral White’ , not WW with a ’Yellow Tint’ that is called ’neutral’ .
I love it!!! :+1:

I hear ya’ man…… :person_facepalming: . If someone prefers a ‘yellow tint’, fine with me; BUT call it what it is…… ‘Warm White’. Because there is nothing NEUTRAL about it.

Here’s a better shot by itself that I just took. It’s such an awesome NW, I’m really impressed and the evenness of the beam is amazing. I took a chance ordering the XPL HI V3 3A NW hoping it would really be a solid NW, but I never expected it to be that good.
Nice photo… this is what it look like in real…

I just got my second rot66 xpl hi V3 3A, but guess what, it's half as bright on maximum as my first rot66. I looked at all the emitters, cleaned all the contacts, I'm really not sure what is going on there. Any ideas anyone?

Newest one has Anduril and the max ramp is set to half output?

I think you are on the stepped mode that only give about 2400 lumen… are you in stepped mode or ramping mode ??

They both seem to step a little when ramping. How do I change between ramp mode and step mode to test for sure?

It was in ramp mode then. Going back and forth both, ramp and step mode max out at the same brightness, which is far less than my first rot66.

Yeah, flickers badly in low mode too. I checked the driver ring and it is tight.
Jack just told me when the light is on I need to double click to get it into turbo mode and it worked! Confusing as my first one ramps
all the way to max and this one needs to be double clicked?
