I’ve been wondering the same thing and said so in the other thread.
It's a bit early now. I am sure they will disclose more details when things are firm.

mee too …? if you are in contact with Dale send him best wishes, my “late” MT09R’s GnB are my secret treasures and still work fine
I highly doubt this can make anywhere close to 5000 lumens with only 4 SST-20. Even the ROT66 9x SST20 95CRI only makes 5000 lumens and the 9x SST20 66CRI makes 7000 lumens.
The emitters can produce that much light - only just in high-CRI, but they can. The ROT66 is direct-drive and limited by the emitters’ forward voltage. The SC04 uses a buck driver and a battery configuration that’s always well over the forward voltage, so it can drive the emitters much harder in theory.
I also tend to assume listed output from Haikelite is a wish rather than a spec until a third-party test shows otherwise.

Yup, it is just a small perk for HKL fans and as contributor.

Interested only, if SST20-WxH (95 CRI) is used, but if so, then definitely interested!

Why not put just a single SST-40 in a large head? I want a thrower with one of the smaller emitters (XPG3, etc)
BTW guys, this light will also support 21700 cells.
There will also be a high CRI version available for anyone wanting to know.
I’m interested. Thanks.
