I got my 21700 C8F in TODAY (ordered 3 weeks or so ago… as soon as I found it on AliExpress). Need to find time to check it out with my other C8Fs (got a few). But does anyone have a link to a way to check for this old driver? Looked around a bit, but any help is appreciated.

I recommend you guys buy the Sofirn version. Sofirn just found the issue with their driver that caused it to under perform. My 21700 version makes even less lumens than the 18650 version. Sofirn is sending out free replacement drivers to those who bought the 21700 C8F with the bad drivers. This clone version is still using the old driver so should be making 1,000 lumens less than the Sofirn fixed version. Besides we should support Sofirn for coming up with this excellent design and listening to the BLF for suggestions.
Maybe we can have a Sofirn C8F group buy.
The design has still the awful design with mcpcb screwed with one screw to reflector then whole assembly put in the head?
This is worst design I can think of, can cause shorts as the reflector curouts are not big, tightening the center head screw caused more than one time on mine to cut in the LED leads doing a dead short only test out with PSU or protected cell
I dont know why they do not simply screw MCPCB to the head

Nobody comments on that, I guess I can assume that UTorch has the inferior driver, right?

I am not really sure if this C8F model is able to see the light. Sofirn is unable to provide support for my GB.

These are for sale at Gearbest for $28.99 right now. Have we confirmed these have the bad drivers?
