Any photos showing the pill over the net?

EDIT: another one that accepts 1x18650 or 3xaaa

Anyone have any info on RS-710?

Is this a clone of something?

Anyone know of a review anywhere?

Isn't it funny how all of a sudden Zoomies, which were once almost all XR-E / XP-E's, seem to be more and more XM-L based. The XP-G seems to have been almost totally bypassed.

Yes, please. 8-)

At Dealextreme.com the New-108 XML flashlight looks very similar to my Smiling Shark SS-A100 flashlight. In dealextreme's photos the New-108 appears to lack external markings. I have ordered a New-108 and when it arrives, I shall compare it to my SS-A100.

The New-108 XML is at http://s.dealextreme.com/search/SKU+++114647

Looking forward to reviews. I saw those lights at DX and am wondering if they are any good.

The 17 buck one theoretically would be great if it was actually driven at 2.5 amps. I just wish it was the 5 mode one, with an actual low med and high.

The RS710 looks good too, though the HEADBAND is seriously one of the most retarded things ever. Since it can use 3xAAAs, Im betting its NOT driven hard at all.

I received my NEW-108 flashlight from dealextreme. I am pleased with the flashlight, especially with its wide flood beam. Usually, the 18650 Li-ion battery slides into a translucent plastic tube which slides into the flashlight. The translucent plastic tube has an inner diameter of 18mm and an outer diameter of 23mm : http://dx.com/p/94487

The tube was visible in neither the photographs nor the description of the NEW-108 flashlight: http://dx.com/p/114647

The tube was not included with the NEW-108 flashlight which I received, so I concluded that the translucent plastic tube needed to be ordered separately.

Welcome to BLF, Fourstents.

does anyone know at what amps the light is actually driven?, is there is any zoomies that actually dirive at 2.5 or more ? even the ones stated to go around 3 amps on dx.com seem to do no more than 2 amps (I assume they would overheat like crazy ?)

looking for a small compact light for my backpacking gear, like the aspherics due to their low size/weight and even lighting field.

i have my eyes on this one, the three settings fit me quite well, also focused strobes are good for scaring off strey dogs

already learned a lot from this forum, thanks !

At least me… I dont know how many amps are feed in the led.

FYI, if you are interested in xm-l zoomings, today they added two new XML- zoomings, and they are very cheap
