Test/review of Golisi IMR26650 4300mAh (Gold)

This cell has no protection pcb, right (at the Banggood website they advertise this as a protected cell)?

You are right, it probably does not have a protection PCB, but it is not totally unprotected.
HKJ has written a detailed explanation about protected batteries, follow the link to:
“How is a protected LiIon battery constructed” in the OP.

Thanks! :+1:

Is it possible to purchase real Golisi-4300 on Ali-express or are there already fakes of this “gold”?

Dear HKJ,
have you ever tested cells from torn-down Tesla batteries?

I remember Elon Musk once said that Panasonic cells used in car batteries are different from those available on the consumer market.

May be, your test will give an idea which of known cells they might be similar to? (like, Ikea Ladda/Fujitsu 2450 cells)

No, I have not tested Tesla batteries.

Hope some day you will test them and we will know what they are like. Most probably, some high-drain type like PF.

I am not really interested in testing used batteries (Except when sold as new) and getting new Tesla batteries is probably not possible.

I think “like new” with minimum mileage (or cycles) is possible.

I am not talking about used or rewrapped cells, I mean genuine Tesla cells that may have different chemistry. I am not talking about worn-out batteries.

My problem is getting the batteries, the only offer I have had for Tesla batteries are from a old pack.

Yes, there is a point only if someone offers you a new salvaged battery.

Specs look very much similar to PF, but charging current is higher.

No it does not. Stop talking BS you read in Russian patriotic blogs.

This thread is a test by HKJ and my request concerns finding out the chemistry of Tesla cells and if they are close to any known NCR models. If you can’t tell the exact type then for God’s sake do not litter this thread.

What do you mean by BS / Russian patriotic blogs?

I think, and I am pretty much sure that I was NOT talking to you.

Probably, there is no need to remind that this is a general FORUM, and in no way PERSONAL correspondence with any particular person. Therefore, your questions about Panasonic in this topic about Golisi, in fact, are inappropriate here for everyone else, and not just for volchyonok.

They use very high capacity. There is no need for high drain once you consider how many cells there are.

Some older model vehicles used Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mah (possibly). The newer 21700 are around 5000mah.

Here is a thread where you can read more about the new cells.

It is widely assumed that it is 18650b, but people say that the current curves are different. It appears that there are several subtypes of the B.

Juste un autre ennemi à moitié plein d’esprit de la société californienne qui croit pouvoir exprimer son opinion de profane partout, même quand on ne le lui demande pas. Mépris
