*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

It’s a pretty terrible affliction. My sympathies.

What are the runtimes on a 1 x 18650?

Subbed

HaHa! Welcome to BLF!

I have not tested the original prototypes on a single 18650 for run times, though they run on 1 battery just fine.

On 1x18650, the runtimes are 1/4th as long as with 4x18650. It is a consistent ratio. If you know the runtime with 4 cells, you also know the runtime with 1, 2, or 3 cells. Just multiply by 0.25, 0.50, or 0.75.

Very true, which will be determined once we can get a production prototype to test each of the stepped modes using good brand name cells. Right now i have not really tested the V2 with its current set up & amp-drain at the different modes, but the V1 was tested to run well past 12 hours on maximum mode on four good cells.

This sounds interesting. I would like to be counted on for one .

I’m in for two more. Should be a total of four.

OH HELL “past 12hours on MAX”…. CRAP I think I need a total of 4 now so please make sure am down for FOUR IN TOTAL

Late, but please add me for 1 lantern.

I will commit to buying two (total) of these.

Has price been discussed, and I missed it?

OP Updated to that list

We could increase that to 40 hours on max by removing all but one chip on each power channel.

This lantern could make good use of the Sofirn Q8 extension tubes if designed to fit. Imagine having the lantern fueled with 8 or more 3500mAh cells. Runtime for ever

Don’t you mean 16 cells

driver will be likely without power bank equipped but its there, not sure how this goes

Well yes, but I wasn’t going to be that brash… But I do like the sound of 50,000+mAh… lol

I do wonder how it would behave on a tripod though.

Would make it a very nice night table lamp
