LOL, it might be time to invest in a 4 cell charger.
The spill light is light directly from the led missing the reflector. So if slicing the dome looses 1000 lumen, then the spill will be 1000 lumen less.
I’m sure he means the hotspot beam angle is narrower. This increases throw distance. The spill angle stays the same.
JasonWW hit the nail on the head, the circular mass of light coming out of the reflector seems to be a smaller diameter but it is very intense along with a good amount of usable spill. Very happy with the dedome but truthfully I was very happy with the dome as well.

Aww yeah! Beautiful
Nice picture!
Thanks, I added a few more just for fun. This is a really impressive light!
Very impressive, they look like ready made marketing shots. :+1:
I added them to the OP if that is ok.
Of course!

Very nice beam shots, too bad there wasn't a BLF GT comparison. :THUMBS-UP:
I could not get the switch to go though the hole from the inside, so I fitted it from the outside.
I found the switch wires too short to install the switch from the inside.
Was I missing something?
I am happy to report that my Lumintop BLF GT70 beam profile feels even brighter and tighter in hand. This is the best flashlight since the Olight SR90!

Thats great man, never had the SR90.
JasonWW: Far Thrower:The switch wires could have been a bit longer as they have to be cut and soldered back in again.
Why didn’t the new switch fit through the switch hole? Was it thicker?

I assumed people would not have to solder the switch wires.
Received my kit, installation went flawlessly, button went in without issues.
thanks a bunch, I now have to wait for darkness to compare with my GT

Did your GT have the two slots ??
If so, you should have been able to turn the switch sideways & insert it from the inside without unsoldering the wires.

Here’s another pic.

Yours is a much better pic to show the ‘slots’ Jason. Thanks for posting it. . :+1:
