ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

SRM (with characters written in English alphabet) is a sub-brand that appears to be aimed at the Western market and more refined knife models.

Of course we can see many knives available with both logos (in different regions) - the Asian SanRenMu logo (3 Chinese characters) and the Western SRM logo.

I agree, the price for the 812 is too much (especially from an Asian dealer); I am no longer interested.

Availability is a related problem. Take the recent Sanrenmu 1161 for example; it has been available for several months but still not on GB, Fasttech, Exduct etc. Just one or two Aliexpress stores (and ebay stores owned by same). Without competition the price is too high. I don’t know why Gearbest stopped listing new Sanrenmu models…maybe a dispute with the factory?

That’s an interesting model. Wonder how it compares to the Ruike P108. Probably made in the same factory.

Yes, Sanrenmu are OEM for Ruike, Real Steel, many others

As I know that vendor has an exclusive contract with the factory over the 1161. That’s why you can’t find it elsewhere.

With time is possible that the 1161 is available in our standard shops. I like a lot the 1161 by the way. I think like to everybody as i can read and see.

With Sanrenmu 1006 and s745 that i like very much both are other example, they are not in standard shops.

They are the official Sanrenmu store from the factory, so yes. :sunglasses:

Yeah, sure but I have seen a couple of “offical” Sanrenmu websites the previous years too…

I just know that if it was available on Gearbest, Fasttech etc, they would be ordering higher quantities and for that reason it would surely be a few bucks cheaper.
Plus we would eventually get some flash sales, or I could use some of my points.

It is what it is. If they want to keep the model exclusive to one store, that’s their prerogative. I just won’t buy :stuck_out_tongue:

I am too…

Very well done, with really good working blade and lock action. Just the optic/design of the clip could be a little better.

I’m new here; this is my well-loved, much-abused Sanrenmu 7010 alongside my BLF348.
I generally EDC this combo and I really like it. If only the 348 had a lower mode…

I bought the 7010 because I wanted a frame-locking folder that I wouldn’t mourn to much if it was broken or lost and it serves that need perfectly

What a beauty … I just bought one from LLB.

Many Thanks for posting.

There will be no regrets.

:innocent:

Cheers!

Enlan EW148, the key chain folder of the year! More pics here.

Next to the Sanrenmu 710 / 7010:

Sanrenmu Land 8103/8104

@maba So what’s your impression of the 810 series?

Pricing seems to be a bit on the strange side considering that you can get the bigger 910 series with better steel and ball bearings (not always a plus in my book) for $12-$14 atm.

Looks a lot like the Ruike Hummingbird, even the engraving on the front scale.

Edit: it’s RIKE, not Ruike

Haha, I said nearly the same on Isti’s blog.

Maybe they came from the same factory

My new review, the D2 revolution of Ganzo:

Review: http://chinese-knives.blogspot.com/2018/10/review-ganzo-firebird-fh11-gb.html

Benchmade’s Axis lock patent is expired. Anyone can legally use this design now, however, many Chinese manufacturers were using it before the patent expired.
