SOLD: 2x BLF Q8 MCPCB LH351D 4000k 90CRI(15$US/1) None left!

So, now here’s something special. 2x BLF Q8 MCPCB’s LH351D 4000k 90CRI with pre-soldered wires for sale, for 15$US/each, via Paypal. Limited to one/person.

The LEDs are LH351Ds 4000k 90CRI. Not as good as 219Bs R9080, but quite a bit better than R9050 219Cs, with much less green in the beam. It’s a creamy soft white. It makes colors pop, as you will see in the pics below, which were lit a BLF Q8 with the same LEDs

They were reflowed on a analog temperature controlled hotplate, following Samsung’s guidelines of slowly heating up, and then letting the LEDs flow onto the pads, which actually took a much longer time than most of my other modded lights, since the THICK 2mm Q8 MCPCB sinks in a lot of heat.

The LEDs were then tested using a DPS5015 power supply, and they all lighted up together, with no brightness difference. between every LED and MCPCB.

15$US to Canada and US. I limited it to 1/person, just so more people can experience high CRI 4000k goodness  They’re soooo nice.

None Q8 left!

Nice. Very good deal. I will have to decline though. I like my Q8 as is for now.

Next make a few with the new “White Flat” emitters? I would be a lot more tempted to move the light into “more throwy” territory. :money_mouth_face:

I’m sure these will be a hit with someone. The price is unbelievable.

Very tempted. I bet they are amazing.

Yep. These are really amazing.

I would’ve liked to reflow SST-20s on them, but I don’t have any of these, nor any MCPCBs left.

The color is still really good though, and it makes the Q8 beam itself more balanced, floodier, which I really like. Makes it very good for mid range night photography

Literally just reflowed some in my Q8 tonight… WOW.

If youre uncomfortable doing the swap yourself dont hesitate to grab these, the tint and color rendition is great for an emitter that basically matches the output and efficiency of the X-PL.

Slightly floodier beam, but far less tint shift than stock X-PL.

One other advantage that I’ve found using these is that the petal shape is less pronounced than with XP-L HDs, but that is because of the slightly bigger die giving it more flood, and therefore, less reflector overlap.

You wouldn’t happen to have any outdoor pics would you?

As it worked so nice and fast with the BlueSprings, how much is shipping to Germany?

Nice!

I did a 2x4000K + 2x5000K 90CRI LH351D swap on my C* the other day.

Next one is going to be a 4x SST-40, once my Led4Power order with the MCPCB arrives.

@Hondarider, I’ll be doing some beamshots tonight.

@gisewhcs, since you live outside North America, it’s going to have to 3$US more to ship internationally.

So it will cost 18$US for international viewers.

Pm incoming!

Well at least I can have a view of how it looks, you may sell them before I see the night shots. I have 2 of the Q8 MCPCB’s. Just have not decided what to put on them. If you still have the 1 left after the beam shots I may take it off your hands.

So, here are some beamshots.

As you can see in the first pic below, colors pop, especially those with reddish tones and look so appealing. It was taken on max, so the tint is right on the BBL, or actually very slightly under it.

The second pic is a beamshot taken at the max regulated level. There is quite a bit more green in the beam now due to the lower driving current of the LH351Ds. Better than the 219Cs in my S42, much better than the 5000k XP-Ls of before, but not as good as SST-20s, or 219Bs. Still quite good though, just not exceptional like the 219B.

Beamshot taken at max. A pure creamy 4000k beam. Very nice IMO. It looks like that starting at 1000 lumens since the FET is starting to take most of the load, and makes the beam look way better.
