nitecore TUP

That site also lists the P12GTS at $150 while nitecorestore.com has it at $80, so it may not be the best source for pricing - and I’m not even sure the currency is USD.

Hmm… I dont see anything that special to justify the price :disappointed:

Anyway this looks really thick… 26mm !
It’s a little brick, I was hoping for a more flat design… but they always have one : TIP

Must admit it is interesting.
Wonder what kind of LED is inside, and what kinf of battery (could it be LiPo or something?)

OK … I’m rich … I want one.

Im saving for one of these as well …

Yeah, just realized myself  Photo is so misleading :person_facepalming:

Sorry, will pass this one

It’s very light for something capable of 1000 lm output (only 53 gram), but yeah, it’s going to be somewhat awkward to nicely stick it in your jeans’ pocket due to the dimensions. I don’t see any mention of a clip either.

There is indeed a clip screwed onto the light, and I don’t have any issues with it in my pocket. It’s about the same dimensions as most modern car key fobs.

It has a split ring, like it’s meant to be used as a keychain…
Well, my keys aren’t that big :-p

It looks a bit like this on a keychain:

Which modern car key fob is that thick?

My key fob is 16 mm thick.

yea, it was at that other place too: New Product Announcement: NITECORE TUP 1000 Lumen USB Rechargeable Flashlight | Candle Power Flashlight Forum

Neat! Pics from other angles would be nice, too.

Oled display… will burn out quickly.
Mike

Too big for me

Maybe see what you can do for a group buy…. if anyone can put it together it will be you

I thought OLED technology is past the lifespan of 1000 hours. Isn’t in more in the range of Cree LED lifespan of 50-100k hours?

The display is never on for more than a few seconds at a time, I don’t foresee this being an issue.

Great name.

Why does a keyring torch need a display ?

PS: I have a TIP in my pocket, pretty good, and a Tube on a zipper, but this seems like a step too far.

…I need a companion for my UC15
