I have two of the little single cell Sofirn chargers. One came with my C8F and one came with my SP3. Both chargers are exactly the same and both will hold my Sofirn 21700 and my Shockli 21700 just fine.
The bottom of the charger Says- Li-Poly Charger, USB lithium battery charger for 26650, 18650, 16340, 14500, 10440 lithium battery.
I can insert the 21700 cell with about 2mm space to spare.
I’ll be darned. Lol. You’re right. Thanks for clarifying!! The charger it comes with does fit the Sofirn 4000 mah 21700 battery.
What that single cell charger does NOT fit is the Acebeam 5100 mah 21700 button top battery.
This could be a nice light for a powerful fully regulated and efficient boost driver with tiny sense voltage/resistor and massive inductor/caps powering 3S emitters. Yes, I am different. I like to have full blast on tap from start to end of battery discharge.
Thank you for stopping footstep. To celebrate Easter we would like to provide some codes for you guys on AMZ US & AMZ DE from 15th April to 22th April (USA Time) for our models.
BTW: Amazon CA and Amazon AU, also have a good deal, please check on amazon page directly we have cut the price already.
If you are new to Sofirn and Amazon.ca, be careful and look around. There are 3rd party resellers with ridiculous prices. Check to make sure it’s….Ships from and sold by Sofirn
I have a SP33. Nice light. UI is nice and simple. Plenty bright. Some weird tint shifts around the hot spot but not super noticeable in real life use. Easily seen white wall hunting though. Included cell tested out good. I haven’t done any run time test on it yet but I imagine it will run for quite sometime on the lower modes, which are still plenty bright. The Eco or moon mode, whatever they call it, is too bright to sneak around the bedroom at night but provides enough light to fill a room without blinding you when your eyes are dark adjusted already.
Worth the money I think. Sofirn always puts out a good product. They are my go to when I am buying lights for family and friends.
I like Sofirn too and they go out of their way with service/accomodation.
I’m buying the SP33 as “I want one” with the outside chance of making it as the emergency light standard. I like the size and the 2500 lumens, but the UI has potential muggle issues for an emergency light. Yes, I know it’s programmable, but what can go wrong…will go wrong.
I also have a big pile of unused 18650, but I don’t think they will support the SP36 draw.
It looks like the Convoy S2+ in red, orange peel reflector and on/off switch will probably land up as the all around, emergency light. Probably 6-7 between house and car.
Unfortunately, Sofirn doesn’t have anything that simple or floody.
Agreed, Sofirn is really good to us. Their customer service is phenomenal.
Yeah, any light that is fairly easy to get into a few thousand lumen turbo mode isn’t necessarily muggle friendly. I don’t know what kind of 18650’s you have but my SP33 runs just fine on 30Q’s, VTC6’s, and the new Molicel P26A. I have some lower drain 10 amp cells that run it fine as well. Haven’t tested with a light meter but they all perform about the same to my eye. Shorter runtimes with the 18650 but they will work none the less.
Hard to beat a S2+ for a all around light. With a biscotti driver, the ones the kids and wife use, I program the driver for 4 mode with 50% being the highest level they can get to. I have S2+’s just about everywhere. So affordable and easy to mod to your liking.
BTW: A good piece of diffuser film on the lens will make that SP33 nice and floody and get rid of those weird tints around the hot spot. I have some extra diffuser film here, if you think you need a sheet of it let me know and I can throw one in the post for you.
