Many people buy trits at Mixglo.com, you need the smallest type 6mmx1.5mm.
I have ordered some 5mm diameter x 3mm thickness neodymium magnets at Fasttech many weeks ago but I must say they are slow to arrive. Another test that is not actually done (will the C01 succesfully stick to a vertical metal surface with such magnet)
Behold, I just looked through my old stash of neodymium magnets and came across some 5mmx3mm ones after all (probably bought from Fasttech a few years back). So with a piece of wood and some care I managed to hammer one into one of the sample lights without breaking the magnet (in the production lights the hole is slightly larger so you need glue), and I can report that the C01 sticks quite happily to a vertical metal surface. Nothing extremely firm but the magnet does the job fine :+1:
(The split ring becomes very happy too, responding to the magnet )
Do you think recharging when the light goes dim would eliminate that concern?
note these lights start at about 5 lumens,
and the vampire mode is well below 1 lumen,
so it should be obvious when the light needs a fresh battery, no?
Go to âMy Ordersâ You will see the order there with status as âAwaiting Payment.â Refresh every so often until Sofirn changes the amount from 7.02 to 6.50, then click âPay Nowâ to complete your order. You will be charged 0.80 to use PayPal on Ali though, which is normal.
Thanks dijozz for confirming that a 5 x 3 mm magnet holds the light well enough :THUMBS-UP: .
Now the wait for the red and blue batches begin, hopefully they will be ready at the same time, so you don't have to order multiple times if you want both.
I almost want buy one of these to see what itâs all about. Is it the CRI that makes this light so popular? Seems durable according to the video. Just seems as though the output is fairly low which is what is keeping me from pulling the trigger. I have a Nitecore Tip and got my wife the Astrolux K1.
Iâm fairly certain going below that wonât kill them very quickly, but Iâm sure it lessons their cycle life. I wouldnât be afraid to use NiMH in mine, but I probably would go ahead and charge once I start to notice any dimming.
