I was hoping to order 3200 and 5600 but 3200 is sold out. Do we wait?

This was just the first batch of 300 produced, there’s 1700 more to come, and the people on the list were promised the discount to 6.5 dollar. So yes they should come in stock again and I assume soon.

I almost want buy one of these to see what it’s all about. Is it the CRI that makes this light so popular? Seems durable according to the video. Just seems as though the output is fairly low which is what is keeping me from pulling the trigger. I have a Nitecore Tip and got my wife the Astrolux K1.

The CRI and the even, floody beam are the main differences between this new light and the Fenix E01, a light long appreciated for it’s durability, efficiency, and ability to get as much energy as possible from its battery.

In many situations, high outputs are not needed. Those are the times when the C01 will be at its best, but it won’t substitute for the Tip or the K1 for the times when you need a lot of light.

The output is low and the beam is flood, this light has no punch whatsoever. I kept it in my pocket for weeks together with an E2L triple shorty EDC (also 3000K extreme CRI but 1000+ lumen at max) and in no circumstance that I needed some light for a moment I decided to pick the C01.

But the C01 has already been a nightstand light for my son when we stayed in a hotel (he’s afraid for total dark), doubling as his donald duck reading light in the morning when I was still asleep. For the nightstand duty the diffuser of the Lumintop Worm worked quite perfectly (btw, Barry will try to source a suitable diffuser for the C01 for selling separately). I check the mailbox with the C01 as well.

And there’s always the people who want a light that always works when everything else fails, the C01 may prove to be that light over time. At least Sofirn has tried to copy that feature from the Fenix E01. The 95CRI may not be needed for this function but it does not hurt either Smile . I can confirm that the 5 to 7 lumen flood of the C01 will sufficienty light your path in the woods when it is totally dark (it will not spot the bear in the distance Silly ).

Im still waiting, no price adjustment since yesterday’s orders.
Got a reply to my messages that was just someone’s copypaste, when I left the message asking for the price adjustment so I could pay.
Whoever saw it doesn’t read well.

The order info page claims I’ve paid for three flashlight orders, but I didn’t, following the suggestions in this thread.

I sure hope so since I put two of each in my cart last night at $7.01 USD, and today I find that the 3200K version is priced at $8.88. That’s just a little too much for my budget.

Why isn’t the option to use PayPal showing up for me? Is there something you need to do?

For me it makes a difference which browser I use, and which platform. On the PC, using Firefox, I get the Paypal option. On my tablet, on Chrome,if I choose ‘desktop version’, the Paypal option is there too. Try a few different options.

Yup. I can’t even log in to Ali with Firefox right now, but Safari displays the login fields fine.
Progress, no doubt.

Huh. I got a message saying

Quote:
Hi, Dear xxxxxx Welcome to my store You have placed the order at Best Prices!!! best promotion . But it seems that the order has not been paid. It is the big discount now . please seize the chance . If you have any problem Please contact me from here, We would reply you immediately! thanks and best regards!

So I went to check and the order has been “cancelled by the buyer” – fooey.

In my experience, you bring up the payment window, and it shows only CC options. If you cancel that, it then offers PP. That may not be your experience; just wanted to put that one observation out there in case it helps anyone.

I am using the current 64 bit version of Firefox, and have no problems logging into Aliexpress. Do you have any adblockers, etc. that might be causing the problem?

I didn’t change anything about Firefox, the Ali login just quit working in the last couple of days.
Same time as I’ve had all the troubles with this order.
So it goes.

For anybody wanting to make the order, here is what you need to do (the Liitokala order is only used as a reference, only use it on the Sofirn C01)

1. Make your order

2. Check the Other payment methods and click Pay now

3. Rather than paying, click on the Aliexpress logo to go back to your home page

4. Go in your My orders page, and contact the seller

5. Leave this message with your BLF username

And voilà! Small BLF discount on the light.

With a final message, Paypal isn’t available in Aliexpress in Canada, which is a good thing for most cases, but slightly worse for edge cases.

I used the AliExpress App and the PayPal option appeared there. I didn’t use it, though!

BTW, the real value I paid for the 2 lights was higher than the $6,50! Honestly, I didn’t care that much!!
I am just waiting for the coloured versions to get some Wink

Again, thanks to all involved Thumbs Up

Just nabbed my two 5600K, but 3200K were sold out. I’ll need to order them when they come back in stock. 5600K are almost sold out too, only three of those left. Good thing Sofirn have more coming Smile

It is a bummer for people who missed out for the first 300 lights, but it is a good thing that they went so fast. It will give Sofirn trust that the flashlight that they made in cooperation with BLF is a good product for them. They may even (this is speculation) consider to make another bath of these apart from the 2000 in the planning now (the Yuji store still lists the 60 degrees DIP leds in both colour temperatures, despite what Barry said). Or to make extra colours. Or use brighter/lower CRI led versions.

And I’m extremely curious how the C01 will be liked by the BLF crowd and beyond, and if all copies prove to be good quality.

I’m already pretty sure that a lot of people at first will be disappointed by the output, with appreciation only kicking in later Smile

I think it is just broken. I have tried on my Windows Machine: Chrome with adblocker off, incognito mode. Mac: safari, chrome, Firefox. iPad Safari, Chrome, Native App. Android: Chrome

I am in the United States and have used Paypal before on Convoy store, but now it does not give me the option

The red ones look dope.

Ordered a 3200K version before they sold out. I originally asked for 1× 3200K and 1× 5600K but I decided that I really only wanted the 3200K. Given the demand (and the fact I’ve seen that Aliexpress link posted elsewhere, to people who have never even been to BLF) I’m sure that extra 5600K light will go to a good home.

It appears there’s more in stock already, but the price is 8.88 now.

So for clarity, they’ll still reduce the price to $6.50 for BLF members when (asked after placing an order, yes I know how it works) even for the new stock price of $8.88?

Not for my orders, for three lights, which are in limbo (they weren’t paid, yet).
No actual response from their contact, just the cut’n‘paste thankyouforshopping message.

I’d cancel them and reorder except for suspecting they’ve already run out.

I hope that everyone gets their orders and discount sorted out, there is not much that I can do about that.

The same type of thing happened with the Sofirn Q8 group buy, it seems that building consistent websites that run the same on all platforms and browsers is very difficult.

Hey, the price changed on one of the orders:
Was $7.02, now $7.82

I guess they’re thinking I used PayPal?

The other 2 orders still show $7.02.
At least someone over there is doing something, even doing it wrong is a sign of life.

Well, I might be stalled until the red ones come along.

theres nothing to “get in “ on as far as I can see. I don’t get why there was some“list” crated in the first place it meant absolutely nothing. they got a cpl hundred made and put them on Ali . there was no effort made to accommodate this forum that I can see.

You go to Aliexpress and try and get one on your own.

this is the typical “run around like chicken with head cutoff” routine I have seen dozens and dozens of times with things like this.
