[Available again! - BLF special edition light] new Sofirn AAA twisty high CRI 5mm LED

3200K appears to be sold out at the moment. :frowning:

I’m a little confused as well.

So there will not be a GB delivery or discount code and we’re to use this order-get discount-and pay method with Sofirn direct instead, correct?

Do Interested parties need to confirm on this thread/master list if ’ we’ve ordered on AE?

FWIW, I was “1; 1 – pc_light (967)” and have ordered such directly just now, so I can now be cleared from “the list”.

Thanks for all the coordination efforts which couldn’t have been easy.

I was hoping to order 3200 and 5600 but 3200 is sold out. Do we wait?

There will be plenty more of the 3200K:

This was just the first batch of 300 produced, there’s 1700 more to come, and the people on the list were promised the discount to 6.5 dollar. So yes they should come in stock again and I assume soon.

The output is low and the beam is flood, this light has no punch whatsoever. I kept it in my pocket for weeks together with an E2L triple shorty EDC (also 3000K extreme CRI but 1000+ lumen at max) and in no circumstance that I needed some light for a moment I decided to pick the C01.

But the C01 has already been a nightstand light for my son when we stayed in a hotel (he’s afraid for total dark), doubling as his donald duck reading light in the morning when I was still asleep. For the nightstand duty the diffuser of the Lumintop Worm worked quite perfectly (btw, Barry will try to source a suitable diffuser for the C01 for selling separately). I check the mailbox with the C01 as well.

And there’s always the people who want a light that always works when everything else fails, the C01 may prove to be that light over time. At least Sofirn has tried to copy that feature from the Fenix E01. The 95CRI may not be needed for this function but it does not hurt either  . I can confirm that the 5 to 7 lumen flood of the C01 will sufficienty light your path in the woods when it is totally dark (it will not spot the bear in the distance :stuck_out_tongue: ).

They had 2 3200 available just now when were out before.

Im still waiting, no price adjustment since yesterday’s orders.
Got a reply to my messages that was just someone’s copypaste, when I left the message asking for the price adjustment so I could pay.
Whoever saw it doesn’t read well.

The order info page claims I’ve paid for three flashlight orders, but I didn’t, following the suggestions in this thread.

I got the same reply.

Just to remind this folks!!

I sure hope so since I put two of each in my cart last night at $7.01 USD, and today I find that the 3200K version is priced at $8.88. That’s just a little too much for my budget.

Why isn’t the option to use PayPal showing up for me? Is there something you need to do?

For me it makes a difference which browser I use, and which platform. On the PC, using Firefox, I get the Paypal option. On my tablet, on Chrome,if I choose ‘desktop version’, the Paypal option is there too. Try a few different options.

>which browser

Yup. I can’t even log in to Ali with Firefox right now, but Safari displays the login fields fine.
Progress, no doubt.

Huh. I got a message saying

So I went to check and the order has been “cancelled by the buyer” - fooey.

In my experience, you bring up the payment window, and it shows only CC options. If you cancel that, it then offers PP. That may not be your experience; just wanted to put that one observation out there in case it helps anyone.

I am using the current 64 bit version of Firefox, and have no problems logging into Aliexpress. Do you have any adblockers, etc. that might be causing the problem?

I didn’t change anything about Firefox, the Ali login just quit working in the last couple of days.
Same time as I’ve had all the troubles with this order.
So it goes.

For anybody wanting to make the order, here is what you need to do (the Liitokala order is only used as a reference, only use it on the Sofirn C01)

1. Make your order

2. Check the Other payment methods and click Pay now

3. Rather than paying, click on the Aliexpress logo to go back to your home page

4. Go in your My orders page, and contact the seller

5. Leave this message with your BLF username

And voilà! Small BLF discount on the light.

With a final message, Paypal isn’t available in Aliexpress in Canada, which is a good thing for most cases, but slightly worse for edge cases.

I used the AliExpress App and the PayPal option appeared there. I didn’t use it, though!

BTW, the real value I paid for the 2 lights was higher than the $6,50! Honestly, I didn’t care that much!!
I am just waiting for the coloured versions to get some

Again, thanks to all involved :+1:

Just nabbed my two 5600K, but 3200K were sold out. I’ll need to order them when they come back in stock. 5600K are almost sold out too, only three of those left. Good thing Sofirn have more coming
