Astrolux FT01 Review

I’m not really keen on rear clicky “tactical” lights and this is no exception.

Why did you change your name from KG turning to flashaholics???

Thanks for another well-made video. I love the way you show the beam and levels in a variety of situations. Well done.

I also don’t care for the dual switch design. Some might, but I’d prefer something simpler and easier to manipulate with one hand in one position.

This one seems like a burly light that handles heat well for extended turbo time. Maybe you’re right in suggesting more output. I wonder if this would be a good candidate for an XHP70.2.

I think mine might be glitching, double clicking is going to high instead of Turbo.

Nice video, thank you for making. In my line of work I love the two switch setup. That tail tapping is going to be the same modes every time. If I’m searching a large or small building I’m not going to want mode changing as I turn on and off the light rapidly. More than a few good weapon handling technique with tail tapping. I also like the second physical switch to stop parasitic electronic switch drains. Also to note a slight tail twist and the light is locked out. This was built as a First responders light and I think they did everything right for what we need in the field.

The light pulls 7 amps on turbo with a fresh battery. If your battery dips too much with the drain it won’t change to turbo. I’ve had good luck with the Samsung 21700-40T, 21700-50E and the Sanyo NCR20700B.

My Sony VTC5A can handle well over 20 Amps.

Weird thing is I’m currently reviewing a rear clicky Klarus light at the moment and that struggles make Turbo!!!
