LED close-ups.

this is pretty cool. thanks for the pics.

thanks from my part too! i have lights with XP-E, XP-G, and XM-L. and the LED's look the same as in your pics!!

Cool, thanks for so many details. Would like to have one~

Great thread, thx for sharing Foy!

On the subject of Power LEDs, i found a interesting poll on Facebook. You can vote your favorite LED brand from Cree, Nichia, Seoul, Osram, Lumileds and the company promises to give us a discount for the wining brand. There is even a contest for the pages fans, the prize is a 400€ LED fixture, all you need to do to participate is to sign in your email, name and country!

The facebook page is facebook.com/LedRise and after looking at their shop i can see they already have kick ass prices. I cant wait for my favorite brand to win so i can buy the LEDs even cheaper! Come on , lets go vote, 100 votes are needed to decide the winner.

Thanks

For illuminating macro shots, there are "ring lights" -- and I've seen instructions online for building them. That's just a ring of LEDs mounted around the lens aimed at the close-up target distance. Might be a project.

lol, that is NOT LED manufacturing, they are showing a prober and thats it, LED manufacturing happens before that.

I’ve made the drive between Grand Haven and Durham a couple of times now, easily done in a day, but still takes about 13 hours, which scarily is only 4 more hours than it took me to go from Grand Haven up to school at Michigan Tech.

Thank you sir! Looks great.

You are welcome Sir!

Nice

Thanks for the pictures Foy.

Perhaps we should have an LED picture competition; who can take the coolest shots of LED’s?

(My friends think I’m lifeless.) :weary:
