It seems like it’s not that bad - you can access turbo directly and then jump to the non-blinky modes fairly easily - double-click from off to turbo, then double-click again to go to the standard modes. You only get blinky modes if you go turbo first then single-click cycle through the modes.
I agree with you in that I wish the blinky modes could be 100% hidden.
But it is just very non intuitive to avoid the blinky modes especially if you have so many other flashlights with simpler more intuitive interface like the Ramp IOS, Narsil, or Anduril.
