Why are they calling this a white version when the color is actually silver?
Creative marketing would be my guess It’s more whitish-silver than normal natural/gray anodization so maybe also to emphasize this difference. AFAIK this is as white anodization as they come - anything more white would be paint, powder, ceramic or similar type coating.

So after all - maybe this type of process and resulting whitish silvery color is colloquially called “white anodizing”…
Ah, so the molecular size of the white dyes are too large to fit into the microscopic pores on the aluminum surface formed during the anodization process. Neat.
