I got this information from Nichia Corporation about their 219D Led. It is from an PDF.
Top image has to do with the tint range of the 219D. It certainly looks like it could have an 3000K tint to me.
The bottom image has to do with luminous flux. If I am reading it correctly it looks like at approximately 1.4 amps can get about 1000 lumens at 5k tint. If anyone can read these graphs better than I please post what you see. Not looking for a big disagreement with anyone. If you can point out how I am wrong more power to ya.

Just snagged my third, beautiful light color, like a Bogart movie, warm and buttery. Great little torch for $18, with a rechargeable battery. Gave one away to the Emmy award winning film editor of Dexter. He loves it. Someone mentioned they didn’t like the chrome finish of the clip with this light, either
did I, I hit it with my propane torch slightly to a dull orange, finished to a dark bronze finish, with some subtle rainbow flashes. Looks alot nicer.

Yep … Excellent deal. Great light for walking the dog. I love carring a light that I know will always come on in high mode while walking my girls. I am extremely pleased with the warm tint of the Nichia 219D emitter. Tough price to beat when you consider all that is included in this package for under $16.00 with free Prime shipping.
No worries, glad a few more folks were able to get in on it. Hope it last long enough for anyone interested to grab one. Only had one other light that warm and I didn’t get to spend too much time with it. I wasn’t overly impressed with it. I will give it another shot though and see how it goes. I can always change the emitter if I have to I reckon. I have heard it’s a bit tricky but doable.
Nice looking girls by the way. We got us a puppy about 5 months ago. Got all the normal training done. Working now on getting her to stay in her unfenced area of the yard. She is slowly getting it but she still has that “I am a puppy, lets play” in her. She’ll do fine I suppose, she’s picks things up pretty quick.
Been wanting that magnetic charger anyway and with the coupons could not say no to another 18650S
P.S. After reading about the thermal issue on turbo with full battery decided to “break in” my 18650S by putting it on high (not Turbo) and tailstanding it for like 30 minutes. It got warm but never screaming hot.
Reason for this was in case the thermal paste was not applied uniformly it would have a chance to spread out at a nice even pace rather than possibly cooked by rapid heat cycle fist time out.
One other thing was noticed in playing with this flashlight. It will memorize Turbo so for you Highest First fans, there ya go
Just found out Folomov is in the “Hall of Shame” for unethical selling and reviewing techniques on the forum. Hope my new 18650s does not explode in my face. Puff of blue smoke would be better if QC is not up to snuff.
Just not sure what to belive. However I do believe people have had the 219D LED go bad in the flashlight. I hope that everyone who ordered a 18650s because of this thread gets a good one.
Got mine today, havent tried charger yet. Couple of thoughts: Small/compact light, does get hot on high very quick, assuming this is due to small size, will try to break it in slowly to avoid damage as others noted. The UI is kind of strange, tail switch uses full clicks to change brightness, no half press. Havent read manual yet, but default forces you to cycle up/down to get to desired level, but has mode memory when you shut with long press.
Tint is very warm, not as orange as some of the photos, but there are some artifacts in center of hot spot and a ring or 2 not far from hot spot. Tail stands good, clip seems sturdy. Will test the MAH of battery and report back. It’s the smallest single 18650 light I have used, hopefully it will not implode on me
No problem sir. I am not happy to hear about Folomov’s business practices as far as reviews and spamming goes. Just hope they make a decent light. I ordered one from BG a week before this Amazon deal started. So I will have one tomorrow and one when the slow boat gets here. I was planning a emitter swap in them anyway so the news of the emitter problem isn’t much of a worry to me. As long as the rest of the light is well put together I should be fairly happy. Assuming the swap goes okay, I hear its a bit tricky but I like a good challenge once in a while. That charger is really pretty nice though. It came a day before the light for some reason. Works perfectly though. Put it on a Efest 26650 and charged up my phone just to make sure it worked. Then recharged the 26650. Seems to operate within specs.
I saw a video review of it where the reviewer recommended not using it for 16xxx batteries since it charges at 1A. I’m actually really looking forward to my first Nichia (219C BLF-348 and 219B PL47 and ROT66 are on the way) light, and 3000K at that! :laughing: It’ll be a while before my Sofirn C01 3200K will get here, so this’ll be my warmest flashlight. Which neutral white emitter are you thinking of swapping the 219D with?
I have always been kind of fond of the XP-L V6 3D. I am sure there are better ones. I just haven’t gotten to try any of the newer emitters out. I have heard about some of the newer Samsung emitters but I am not sure if they will use the same pads as a XP/Nichia board. Any suggestions?
By the way, you will love that little 348 light. It’s one of my around the house favorites.
Well, the LH351Ds Dog Farts (D0GF4RTS) is a popular emitter these days, as is the SST-40, but I’m not sure if they’ll fit. I will probably use the LH351Ds for swapping out my Wubens’ Cree emitters to get that high CRI and more neutral temp.

I will check those threads out, thank you. Hey you may not be as late as you think for the 219B. I believe the Astrolux A01 still comes with a 219B at I think 4000K in it. Nitecore has a penlight that comes in a 219B 5000K if I remember correctly and I think Jaxman has a E3 with a 219B 4000K in it as well. I just a week ago ordered the Astrolux because the wife stole my keychain light and I need a new one.
No problem, good luck finding the right emitter for your swap. Unfortunately, it looks like the Astrolux A01 has been exclusively shipping with 219C’s and NMM for the better part of a year now, they even changed the table description to reflect this. According to Parametrek, the Manker E21 and that Nitecore you mentioned do “claim” to use 219B’s. No matter, I’ll be able to experience glorious 219B tint with the FireFlies, and maybe even be able to buy a 219B 348 from a generous flashaholic.
The 219C BLF-348’s came in this weekend and I love them! Single mode plus no next mode memory like the A01, sleek design, nice form factor and ergonomics, neutral white, and high CRI (first Nichia I’ve used). I see the green tint that people are complaining about, but for a high CRI AAA light, I’ll take it.
