Lumintop GT micro

I have to second robo819’s motion, some of the GT Mini’s came with a quite warm XP-L HI… if they’re going to glue the bezels then there needs to be a few choices in tint.

Any news on head diameter? Or throw measures?

will probably be as gt mini offered, cool white and neutral white but im just guessing on this only…

Any lux speculations yet or is this just a 14500 version of the D1?

What they called a “neutral white” in the GT Mini was more like a 4000K maybe 5A’ish? It was more on the warmer side than a true neutral should be for sure. I have always thought that Neutral was around 5000K 3D’ish. Neutral should be just that , no warmer color to it , no cooler color to it , but more of a pure white light.

Maybe a 1A , 3D and 5A or 5B , so it would cover most areas of preference , would be nice.

Thank you robo819!! . :+1:
“Neutral White” should be just that…. NEUTRAL!!!

In other places, at least, “neutral” is the range from 4000 to 5000. 5000 is cool to some people (Me, sometimes- I usually prefer something a bit lower than that), and 4000 is warm to some people.

I was trying to better understand LED bins and ran across this info
I’m not sure if the quote below is just the authors opinion, or if it’s industry standard.

“In terms of LEDs, the BBL is related to the correlated colour temperature (CCT) and is expressed in Kelvins (K). CCTs of 3000K are defined as warm white and lie towards the yellow region of the chromaticity diagram (Figure 4). Neutral white ranges between 3500 and 4000K and cool white ranges between 4500 and 5000K.”

What is NW is all relative to how your eyes are adapted. In the daytime with afternoon sunlight shining in my room, 4000k is warmish. At night time, when my eyes are adjusted to the 3000k ceiling fixtures, 4000k looks cold white, even with a little hint of blue sometimes.

When is the release date of this light?

‘Pending’ ATM…. it should not be to long though.

Nice! Probably being machined as we type this. :)

I think I’ll put a 5000K MT-G2 in mine, just because… :sunglasses:

Waiting for the watch battery version.

Pica GT? Maybe a 10180 cell?

Boost driver getting 1000 lumens from the XHP-35? Or maybe a White Flat surprising everyone?

Not sure what to make of this light. For AA/14500 lights I want them to be as small and pocketable as possible, as if I want any runtime I’d grab an 18650 light or larger. Seeing this as a low-volume light, almost a novelty, for people like me who have the large gt, the mini and want their little brother.

Oh yeah, put me in for one in neutral.

Interested.
