(Cancelled)D1S+, CSLNM1.TG LED, 850lm, 320kcd

Here is to collect the interest for the D1S with the new Osram, CSLNM1.TG LED, D1S original driver with the current limited within 5A,
throw jumps from the stock XP-L HI 135kcd to 320kcd

The upper one is the beam shot for the new D1S+ with CSLNM1.TG LED, the lower one is the stock XP-L HI LED
Feel free to express your opinion.

Great result!

Yes please, it will finally win me over for the D1S.

And indeed if the gaskets will be sold separately they will gain quite some interest too.

@Hank: How fast do you think this version could become available?

I'm curious what driver the Osram-D1S will be using as the XP-L HI D1S FET driver applies too much current on the CSLNM1.TG.

If you were to offer centering rings (gaskets) and the driver separately it would be nice.

I could imagine the D1 would also sell very well with the CSLNM1.TG.

I already have a D1S, with a black flat though.
I use low drain batteries to tame the current down and get something like 300+ kCd.
I guess the driver could be modified to get only 5A, but how ?

This LED begs for a current regulated driver.

Maybe only the firmware changed to limit turbo to a lower pwm level.

If there is enough interest, it should be available in a week time. The D1S driver current is limited within 5A so that it will be safe to use the high drain battery. The gasket is actually the new version, which works fine for both XP-L HI and CSLNM1.TG.

Okay, that's good news indeed! Now, I'm curious what the price will be. I guess I'm gonna "garnish" my next D1S-order with one more D4S, though. Love

Oh...I almost forgot...how about flashing RampingIOS V3 onto this D1S? Would that be feasible?

That’s what I was thinking, but for time and money I would expect just a firmware limit on the same driver.

The new model looks so much better. I never had an Emisar, so I will be following this thread.

It’s completely the D1S host with LED and driver modification.

Would love to see this with a constant current buck/boost driver with regulation.

I’m interested in such a mini thrower.
Very nice, even if I would prefer a smaller head diameter.
