(Cancelled)D1S+, CSLNM1.TG LED, 850lm, 320kcd

i would LOVE a D4 thrower!!! i upgraded my optic but a even thrower one would be amazing!!!

Please D1 with 21700 and D1S with 21700 or 26650 …with clear ano will be nice.

I also would think it’d be cool to have a 21700 or 26650 option with the D1S. As it stands I think the 18650 tube looks awkwardly thin and out of place.

with this osram led you can make a tube light with one led that out throws D1 with XP-L HI.

I”m interested in a LED, driver, and centering ring “upgrade” kit.
I really like my Emisars, but think the throw difference from the D1 to the D1S should be greater.
This would fix that!

Hey Hank, I really like how you jump on the latest greatest thrower LED. It can really make your products so much better than what you’ve shown is a good example.

But please let me join others with the question:
Is the driver going to be regulated?
Many of BLFers are savvy enough to use only weak cells with FET+white flate combo. But we’re an exception….you could artificially increase resistance in your host, but that would be a hack rather than a solution.

Thanks a lot for the info.
I wanted to do the same to mine.
GT Mini, D1…some good lights that turn out to have too poor reflectors for that LED.
And actually both have been my white flat candidates.

It may not be so simple….
That’s how thickly anodized undyed alu looks like:

That’s a different alloy and different thickness, but how thin would ano have to be to produce practically no colour change?

Hanks has said a few times that it would be limited to 5 amps. Hank, if you haven’t already put this info in the OP, that may help out.

Definitely interested!

I guess (or I hope), it could be even used as a star pointing beam for astronomers (backup for the banned green lasers).

Absolutely getting it if made a reality!

Already have a D1S but two is one and one is none. Definitely interested.

We’ll find out when he’s ready to tell everyone. He doesn’t like to reveal things very far in advance.

Interested

any specs regarding lumens?

Its in the titel of this thread: 850lm

Verry interested!

Agro, I have lights that this is successfully done on… wouldn’t have asked if it weren’t possible. Heck, I’ve done it to parts myself.

interested

Good to know.
I believe we asked several manufacturers to do that already and nobody agreed. :frowning:
Any idea why is it so?

Interested.

I’ll get one for sure.
