Fireflies PL47 Flashlight

I dont know much about shipping/mail services but that could simply be due to overload at other locations or something like that maybe?

Well, I see something coming into customs at LA, Chicago always struck me as odd. But Denver? Man that’s way into the country to be intercepting customs packages! But as you say, could just be an overload overflow thing…

The tracking on my PL47 now shows that it went from Denver to Chicago. What a weird trip to get to the Heart of Texas!

Ahhhhh! The old Boomerang shipping path ploy strikes again!

This may get here so late I’ll be forced to gift it as a Christmas present! lol

…Christmas 2019???

My pl47 was sent on November 27th. Tracking number start with LT. it’s not in the USPS system… hopefully it’s show up…

I use the Deliveries app on my Apple i8, plug in the LT number… it follows it like 17 Track would…

I just got my light, and I have a stupid question.
The manual is rather cryptic to me, I’m not used to that kind of “evolved” UI, lol

Read what I could find about Anduril UI, watched a video, so I managed to adjust the floor and ceiling levels of ramping (good but too bad it doesn’t go even lower!), the temperature limit (I think! Will see in real use later), but I can’t find a way to adjust the blue leds.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought they were supposed to be adjustable with 2 modes (low/high). All what I see in the manual is on/blinking/off…so I guess that’s it ?

Apart from that, the SST-20 are really a beauty! Nice tint, good CRI…love everything about the leds!

Only “on”…Emisar D4S has low/high blue LED’s

PL47- OFF (blue’s off, 2 purple switch LED’s on), blink, and ON (blue LED’s on, 4 purple switch LED’s on)

Oh, ok, my bad. I hesitated between these two lights, and got the wrong one apparently! Just kidding, I love it, just the aux leds that are quite bright.

mine are kinda dim…

get an Emisar D4S too…awesome magic light!

I was actually considering this one! Maybe after Christmas…ran out of flashlight money after I bought too many Sofirn with the Yuji leds…

Edit : the aux leds arealmost brighter (but floodier) than the lowest low.

PL47 “on” and Emisar D4S on “high”

Some other PL47 pics on here show the Aux LED’s to be brighter.

How many different types of camera/phone were used to take those pics? That’s about how many different levels of brightness you’ll see in the pictures.

Here is a post with seemingly bright Aux LED’s:

I thought I read there is an adjustment screw inside the light you can change the brightness of the Aux LED’s.

Any clean way to get the press fit bezel off?

If I mar the light, I’ll have a freak out!

I have two of these, and as you can see, they have very different brightness levels.

Ya…exactly…its not just a matter of camera variances. “Trit” bright is good enough, but would have liked mine to be brighter…but I realize its just cosmetic and dimmer is fine for location in the dark. Thanks for the picture!

Maybe someone will get the bezel off and find the adjustment screw…

Sorry, the way the PL47’s aux LEDs are implemented, there’s no way for the MCU to turn down the brightness on them. It can only turn them on and off.

And, although there’s a screw inside to adjust the brightness, it’s not physically accessible.

So… the aux LED brightness is just random.

Someone needs to crack open that bezel!!
