I'm tempted to get either the M1 or M2 with the new emitter and the updated firmware. XM-L2 with 3 modes versions were not worth getting since 2015 IMO. Very happy to see these models make a "comeback"
Biscotti is more important than the type of LED to me as well! Although it feels "wrong" when an S2+ with XP-L HI out-throws an OP XM-L2 M1 with its larger head.
I usually get the M1 in host form & make my own. I absolutely love the M1!!
But I ordered a 7135 x 8 with Biscotti M1 the other day & it just arrived today.
I usually have no troubled at all operating any UI, but this one has me stumped. I have been fooling with it for well over an hour with no sucess.
Well I did somehow manage to eliminate the blinky operations.
BUT… I have no idea how I did that & can’t get them back or change to any other mode.
I am following the directions as they are written…. ’as far as I know anyway’.
I have also searched other threads & they offer no further help.
Is there some type glitch in the Biscotti UI that I may not be aware of?
I cannot purposefully get it to do anything it is supposed to.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated….
:+1: …. Thank you - X3 -, that is the UI chart I am using. I cannot get the 10 ’short clicks’ (or more) to do what is written in the chart. :person_facepalming:
Interesting. I have the exact same M1 setup, and it didn’t take me more than an hour of finagling to set it up. These tips may help:
To get to config, I just half-click until the light stops immediately lighting up. That’s the cue. And since mine is the “faster” early batch, I don’t count how many times it flashes when selecting modes - counting the lulls inbetween is much easier.
Really hope you come to an understanding with your M1, teacher, it’s a sweet piece of kit
Ok… I do the ‘half clicks’ but the light never “stops lighting up”. It makes no difference whether I do 10, 15, 20, 30, “half clicks” the light never “stops lighting”. :person_facepalming:
And yes, I really do know how to do a half click.
This is the only UI I have ever had a problem with. And it is supposed to be a fairly simple one really.
I am thinking it has to be a firmware problem.
I only got this light because it was on sale & I wanted to check out the Biscotti firmware to see if it was suitable for a ‘non light’ person.
What did you do to solve your issue?? Replace the driver.
