Ooooh !!!
Now THATās some really good stuff right there !
Yummy !
Oh wow Polarweis! These are so good!
Donāt eat too much, because theyāre quite heavy
Those do look very good. I see they use almond paste, a favorite.
Well, apples were originally grown for cider, not to eat as a fruit, and apple juice predates the wide availability of sugar (and thus sugar syrup or caramel), which only happened towards the end of the 18th Century, before that it was a luxury (then again so was cinnamon).
Last time I visited the Netherlands, I "suffered" with terrible "munchies".
There are many reasons to travel to the Netherlands. Free stroopwafels is one. May be time for another EU trip, we havenāt been there since the summer of 2010.
Other food I enjoy from there includeā¦ Krokets, Patats (with mayonnaise) and Bitterballen. Along with the bitterballen maybe a glass of Dubbel.
You found the right stuff Don, although I like triple better, or blond when I feel like a lighter beer.
To tease you a bit, I just came back from the pub, enjoyed bitterballen and a few IJndejaarsbier. Feels pretty good but the evening is not going to be very productive anymore.
Stroopwafels are not expensive, so when any BLF member is nearby, i am more then happy on handing out stroopwafels or other Dutch treats
And Luftwafel means flying-waffle.
Ha!
Yeah, if I bought āem, they wouldnāt even make it back to the car.
If we are talking dutch treats you cant miss out on Bossche bollen:
cream puffs filled with
whipped cream with a layer of chocolate.
thatās not what it looks like
Donāt judge a book by its cover
Theyāre delicous
Dewdsā¦ I gained 10lbs just looking at these pix.
You guys are killing me!!! :person_facepalming: ā¦ I have always wanted to visit the Netherlandsā¦. after seeing these pictures it is quickly becoming a top priorityā¦ā¦ ā¦ :+1:
Plus, thereās always Sharon den Adel.
I had to look her up as her name did not ring a bell :person_facepalming:
Man!!! Yāall are killing this fat guy!!!
