Stroopwafels

Yeah, if I bought ’em, they wouldn’t even make it back to the car.

If we are talking dutch treats you cant miss out on Bossche bollen:

cream puffs filled with
whipped cream with a layer of chocolate.

that’s not what it looks like :open_mouth:

Don’t judge a book by its cover

They’re delicous

Dewds… I gained 10lbs just looking at these pix.

You guys are killing me!!! :person_facepalming: … I have always wanted to visit the Netherlands…. after seeing these pictures it is quickly becoming a top priority…… … :+1:

Plus, there’s always Sharon den Adel.

I had to look her up as her name did not ring a bell :person_facepalming:

Man!!! Y’all are killing this fat guy!!!

Sharon who?

I have one lonely bottle of La Trappe Dubbel XX here and will toast you and all the other Nederlanders on BLF with it on New Year’s Eve.

Wow…. she has a beautiful voice!! :+1:

Aha, thanks for reminding me. I got nuffin’ here. Need to get something tomorrow…

Yep, even au naturale.

And she’s just as sweet as all the goodies above, too.

Oh, why not, one more…

Thanks for sharing LB!! :+1:

No worries.

The Holy Trinity of female singers, to me, is Sharon den Adel, Tarja Turunen, and Doro Pesch.

So… there’s a duet with Sharon and Tarja (“What About Us?”), and with Tarja and Doro (“The Seer”), but nothing with Sharon and Doro.

A trio of Sharon, Tarja, and Doro would be just too much for this universe to handle.

Ah, my sweet stroopwafel, you are so irresistible…

Oh Yum! I just finished a cup of coffee… one of those would have been so nice to have!

OK, one last word…… I’m reading a book on the Netherlands, “Why the Dutch are Different”……

We adopted the Dutch word wafle and changed the spelling a little. Apparently we also borrowed the words cookie (koekje), brandy (brandewijn) and coleslaw (koolsla)

Other words….
Wall St in New York was originally called De Waal Street
Broadway was originally Breede Weg
Harlem, NY was named after Haarlem and Brooklyn after Breukelen
and there are numerous towns named Holland across the USA.
