Hello my dear friends!

today i made a video about the FireFlies PL47 and E07 flashlights.

i found not only light as you will see...

Hi Martin.

Thank you for the video.
I have mine on hold and will pick them up “next year”, or in two days from now.

Happy New Year everybody.

Great pack of knowledge, many thanks for time spent upon it.

HKJ specifies the Shockli 21700 4550mAh (Purple) you show in your video as being 70.9mm long. He has the Samsung 40T at 70.1mm (stores list it as 70.4mm). The Samsung 50E is listed by stores as 70.7mm. I hope the 40T and 50E will fit in an unmodified E07 without getting crushed. Crazy that they made the battery tube so short…

Those beam shots were very helpful. Great overall video! Thanks for making it.

I was on the fence about ordering an E07, but the battery tube issue makes it a no-go for me. I’ve had to do the copper wire spacer on another light because I switched drivers and it might affect the waterproofness. Maybe Fireflies can make adjustments in the future to accommodate more cells. I really hate having a manufacturer limit the cells you can use.

It seems that these first runs have overlooked some important details. It’s too bad because the UI, size, looks and output looked to be close to the perfect flashlight for me. If Fireflies can fix the battery tube length, I’d jump on an E07.

Great review, thanks I was thinking of buying one of these and now it’s been put on the back burner - essentially a very well made pair of lights, that are at the same time very poorly made. :stuck_out_tongue:
Poorly fitting cell range, supplied with a headband that is not fit for purpose along with a fairly steep price (all things considered) and mis-matching aux leds / anodising all add up to a no buy from me at the moment.
I was so close to buying over the holidays too, glad I saw this really as I would have been disappointed when I received it.

Thank you Martin! I was also very close to buying the E07 but now I plan to wait for the next batch with rectified battery tube length, smooth edges on the cooling fins and better anodization quality.

Take care and have a happy new year! :-)

he has a differnet approach and beats me by explaining the User Interface and programming!

but use the colored manual for easier understanding ;)

Thanks for the review and comparisons. I like the XP-L 4000k tint so much but too bad they offered it after I bought mines.

Thank you. Got ROT66 & P47, E07 on hold due to Ministry of Resources (Mrs) funding shut down.

I watched this with my waffles and coffee. Saved me some money.

Great video! I think I know what to buy next to complete ROT66 and PL47

Really? I have all three. Or more like a couple of each. The E07 is bar far my favorite. It is definitely the flashlight of the year in 2018.

What version(s) of the E07 you have?

219B and XPL-HI 3A v2. The 3A v2 makes more than twice the lumens as my D4S XP-L HI 5D v2.

since i was asked "how"

making the copper distance ring for longer cells:

and the Low Voltage Detection in standby:

-> i do not see the benefit of a red auxilary glow - can someone enlighten me?

Hi Martin, do you perhaps know the diameter of the driver, and if the switch is separate from the driver or if it’s mounted on the driver?

Thanks
