[Available again! - BLF special edition light] new Sofirn AAA twisty high CRI 5mm LED

Color ones link

now it works … :+1: anyone else also noticed the discount by paying with paypal …(if possible) … ?

I was just on the site, and was able to order a warm red and a neutral blue. The site said limited quantities for both colors.

Anybody got the price for their red/blue order adjusted to the group-buy price yet ?

I sent the request yesterday noon and nothing happened so far.

@ Sigster… Same here, nothing yet. Remember the time difference & other stuff they have on their plate also.
It will happen…. :slight_smile::+1:

Still waiting for the price adjustment. But it seems the light will be sold out until then. So be it!
I thought this should be a Group Buy. Sofirn will be happy anyway because the people are buying though they have to pay the regular price.

Yes, it has changed again. The price has dropped to 7.99 (I paid 8.88), and there is one blue 5600K available, but no red 3200 available. I forgot about trying to get the group deal price, but I had a $1 off coupon and a $3 off coupon, so the price was basically the same as the group buy price anyway.

Still hoping I can just switch out the electronics and get the colors swapped, but guessing the potting will prevent that from happening.

@Gunga, no Paypal in Canada.

I actually prefer this though. Credit cards only take 2% rather than 5% Paypal takes.

Snagged up the last blue 5600K.

Little tip, one gets a slightly lower price on Ali’s app. There’s also a 3 dollaroff coupon offer for new customers……….

Good work coming up with a way to eliminate the beam artifact. A couple others have tried the same thing upthread. There seems to be variation between samples whether there is a hotspot or other artifact, and to what degree, and it sounds like the 3200K is more likely to have it.

Their plan has been to make equal numbers of each color in each tint. There should be a total of 250 pieces of each in red and 150 pieces of each in blue being made. I assume they had all of them anodized in one batch, but we’ll see them trickle onto the store in small numbers as they get the lights assembled. The black version was the same way.

Received one with a crossed threaded tube…:frowning: Awaiting for Sofirn’s reply.

I tried that too (did not have a fine point sharpie)

Im not sure it helped eliminate the hotspot

after partial black out, I got 3.3 lumens, on my meter
I then used a qtip with alcohol and removed the black sharpie markings
now it reads 7.8 lumens, same battery

the reflective cone more than doubles the output

Hmmm, what were they thinking? Surely not “cold blue ice, warm red flame”

Maybe:

they made Blue ones in Both 3200 and 5600,
the 5600 Blue ones sold out first
I got one of the Blue 5600, will sell to highest bidder… PM me if interested in bidding… LOL!

they made black ones in both 3200 and 5600,
they sold about equal quantities of each
I got one of the Black 3200, and one of the Black 5600, both have very stiff clips, no gumby here
will sell to highest bidder… PM me if interested in bidding… LOL!

Hindsight being 20/20, yeah this should have been anticipated and they should have focused on blue just being 5600k and red 3200K, black being available with either.

Exactly…. :+1: .

If you can’t make a deal with jon_slider for your desired color & CCT combo… PM me. LOL . I might be able to help.

Just curious…. has anyone got a ‘price adjustment’ yet??

I got a message reminding me to pay, but no price adjustment.

Just curious about the experience of others.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! . :+1:

Same here. I was reminded to pay but still no price adjustment.

And Happy New Year to everybody!

:+1: …. Thank you. I was just checking to see if I was the only one.

For my order, not price adjustment, I paid the regular price.
