Fireflies E07 preview

Wow…that was quick, thanks i will get one of them.

QSO rewrapped Sony VTC6A. I will test with 30T later.

Please post the 30T results, thanks!

With 30T, it makes 7,570 lumens! Freaking amazing! It is even brighter than the D4S XP-L HI 5D V2 (3,577 lumens), ROT66 XPL-HI 3A V3 (6,940 lumens), Noctigon M43 (4,310 for LH351D 90CRI, 5,172 for XPL-HI 5D v2, 6,000 XP-G2), and Astrolux MF01 (I think it was about 7k for the 219C).

Too bad FF ran out of the XPL-HI 3A V3 and I think 1A V3 is too CW for me.

I’m going to do more testing on each unit once I receive my E07 order from Neal. Strange that I received my order from FF so quickly even though I ordered it two weeks after I placed order from Neal. However FF made some mistakes in my order: one had wrong emitters and one had wrong aux color. Will sort it out with them.

@SKV89, that's a lot of lumens wow. I ordered mine with the 40T and hoping to get close to that. How does the beam look to you compared to the rot66? From Matts video, the rot66 looks like it has much more flood.

How is it outputting more lumens than the ROT66?

That is really strange.

Floodier than the ROT66. Bigger hotspot when comparing same emitters.

I really don’t understand too why it is brighter than the ROT66 with 3x18650 and 2 extra emitters.

That 30T must be some powerhouse!

That is good news for me as I wanted it to be a real flooder. 30T is rated at 35A and 40T at 30A. I wonder just how many amps your E07 is pulling to get those high lumens.....it can't be using close to max amps on the 30T can it?

The 30T is a serious fatboy cell, no doubt!

HI’s, maybe 21A… 3A per emitter x 7

A single 30T to the 17 emitters in my Ham’r gives 30.3A.

That would mean the 40T should yield the same results lumenwise as the 30T. Now I'm glad I went for the 40T.

Probably close, might be difficult to tell the difference visually. The 40T won’t allow quite the same draw, maybe even considerably less in that heavy demand scenario. At lower demand levels the two cells will be more comparable, at high demand levels the two will definitely show differences.

Oh well, if I'm not pleased I could get a 30T later on. I'll probably be impressed with the light enough that it will be good for me. Even 5k lumens for such a small light is really bright.

Hi guys, I ordered the 219b version. Since there is an adapter included, I want to put a 18650 30q battery in it for starters…

But what 21700 would be suitable for the 219b emitters? I don’t have a matching charger (only a littokala lii-402), so I will charge the battery with my olight UC for the time being…

The iJoy 21700 should work ok, gives good power but not top level output.

I tested some cells in a single-cell configuration in my 17 emitter Ham’r to see what each was capable of, the iJoy came in below a 30Q. (20.4A vs 24.9A) By comparison, the 30T rocked 30.3A by itself, might well fry 219C’s.

A Sanyo 20700A did 24.5A, Efest 20700 made 23.4A, if that helps. (the 20700’s will easily fit in the 21700 space without being way too loose)

I’ve just got my E07 delivered to my work. I don’t have 18650/21700 on me now, so I did not try to turn it on yet. Mechanically, the host looks well made (will see about battery fitment). The only thing I could do was to take it apart to satisfy my curiosity. After I’ve removed bezel and optic, I got a surprise with completely worn out screws. Like someone used wrong screwdriver. Just see for yourself. Does anyone have the same issue or did I get friday afternoon batch?

looks like you got screwed :stuck_out_tongue:

better check mine

Yikes! Always amazes me to see things like this. One would think, being a brand new product, literally everything about it would be pristine and perfect. Right? I mean, why not? Is it THAT hard to find good help these days? I never thought it was so difficult to turn a screw. Doesn’t have to be tight, just snug, barely tight enough to not be loose works here (the optic is going to press the bottom board down via pressure from the bezel), so why the stripped head? Nuts…

Ordinarily I wouldn’t like such a busy layout, but isn’t that just gorgeous? (aside from the obvious damage of course!)
