Help me to find incandescent replacement bulbs for Maglite 2AA

Difficut to find and expensive.

Can anybody helpme to find the replacement bulbs for the MagLite 2xAA? is a bipin bulb, very tiny!

Thanks

I saw them in a local shop for not a lot. Can't check the price right now as someone seems to have broken their web server but I will try when I get home from work. I am geting 3+ seconds ping times that ought to be under 100ms and traceroute is dropping packets all over the place.

Thanks, but I was talking about searching in internet sites. I have seen on ebay but veeeeeeery expensive. But this is one of the oldest flashlgiths that I have and I consider it as a "intouchable", so I will not mod it to LED (terralux upgrade = even more expesive)

Lambda was talking about making an XM-L dropin for it. It is not likely to be budget though.

I think this is what you are looking for.

1.76 euros each. They weigh very little so postage should not be too expensive.

Thanks Don!

What? XM-L on a 2AA maglite¿?¿?¿¿?¿?¿¿? (I thought that I had seen all)

I suspect it is going to need something like a 14500 and a spacer to power it or it is going to take a huge current from a pair of NiMH. I'd reckon that thing would be nearly impossible to run on alkalines.

Ah, thanks for the maplin link. I never had heard of that site. Pity the shipping cost, but not much.... Interesting things on maplin.........

They have a retail store close to where I live. I'd be happy to post any small and light item for you. Which will cost a lot less than most stores charge for overseas postage.

If you put Aberdeen in the Check store's stock box, you can find out if my local store has it.

Maplin used to be an electronic components supplier, these days they are more of a gadget shop that also has some components. They are famously expensive though - I normally only buy stuff I need immediately or when it is marked as 50% or more off.

a 2.5" drive holder that cost me 10 euros from DX was on "special offer" in my local Maplin for 50 euros!

Thanks for your offer, Don. First I will check how much is the shipping costs at maplin and then decide.

man. those things are 2 pakc for $1.98 USD here. guess were spoiled.....

maybe id spend more if they actually put out some light tho!
