Fireflies E07 preview

I wish they would have made it more clear that the button LED color is always purple. had I known this, I would of course had ordered purple aux instead of blue… :person_facepalming:

Come on, whoever thought that it is a great idea to offer different LED options and then not match the buttons, what where you thinking… :person_facepalming:

I already know I will hate this. Probably I will just try to find a way to cover up the button somehow or just disable the blue aux. Sigh.

Is the button on E07 as mushy as the one on PL47? I’m still on the fence and while I love the idea of clear ano I’m worried of QC issues. Has anyone received this flashlight without any flaws?

I have 2 pl47. One has mushy button and the other one doesn’t.

Thanks for the pic!

My guess is the E07 on the picture has the “purple” aux-LED (Fireflies website list “ice-blue” and “purple” aux-LEDs, though NealsGadgets had also “red” aux-LEDs for the E07).

The middle PL47 has the “ice-blue” aux-LED (I also got the PL47 and the aux-LED looks the same).

The rightmost one — is that a different aux-LED or is that the low-voltage “red” color (looks “amber” or “orange” in the pic)?

You can’t put the tube in backwards on an E07. The threads are totally different.

My EO7 will hopefully arrive tomorrow. Hope it works with no defects. Keeping fingers crossed! :sunglasses:

Anyone have a picture of an EO7 next to an Emisar D4 with 18650 tube?

I dont have a PL47 but I can say the switch is quite different from all my other switches. Not as much pressure required to click and not as much tactile feel when you do press it. It takes a little getting used to when you are configuring things but it’s not so bad after you know what to expect.

I got my e07 xpl hi 6500k. I use vapcell gold Samsung 40t and Texas ace lumen tube… I measured 7240 lumen… with the degrading of led over time, I would put 7100 lumen… thanks FF.

Yes, it’s the low voltage red.

here’s one on reddit with d4 and some other lights:

Oh wow, that’s significantly longer than I thought. I don’t remember what was the originally advertised length, but they added several mm to it since the first CAD drawing. I see that it’s 112 mm now. And here we have a request to make it longer, closer to 110 mm.

Just got my e07 in, of course broken optic leg and screw in the wrong hole. Damn that pisses me off. And i got the clear ano and the body is way brighter than the head. They most definitely have some qc issues going on. My emisar was perfect when it arrived. Better catch up ff or you aint gonna last.

Yea, you can see that in the pictures. I think the head is stainless and the body
aluminum so they are going to look different. I wonder if the oils from your skin will change the aluminum over time like it does copper. Hate to hear more quality issues, I ordered 2……

Mostly the same here - bright tube dull head and tail cap - screw in the wrong hole broken optic leg - also got a grey one - screw in the wrong hole and broken optic leg and the tubes are too short to use Samsung 21700’s without copper washer in the tailcap

Just got my yellow E07. Haven’t tried opening it up yet, but I can see from looking in the front that one leg is broken off.

On the upside, the light seems to work fine and is incredibly bright. It works fine with the Samsung 40T that I got with the light or with a VTC6 using the 18650 spacer. Anodizing looks well done with no issues.

Dull tail cap too? The tail cap images on page 1 of this thread look the same as the body. That sucks, plus more quality control problems? :person_facepalming: Can someone with the clear post a “real picture”. All I find is hand model images holding displays.

The bezel is stainless for sure. But im saying the actual aluminum head doesn’t have the bright luster that the body and cap have.

My cap and body are very bright. That clear ano is too much for ff to handle as far as consistency goes. And my 30T and 40T fit all the way without crushing the battery cap. But it couldn’t be any shorter to work so that battery is very snug. Makes the light feel like its 1 piece billet.

What copper washer did you use? Just a standard M14x20x1.5mm?

Also the switch sucks ass. Its way to squishy and totally flat.
