(prototype) the GT Mini

I added you to the list Icarus, keep us posted. Good luck…… :+1:

Can anybody confirm me if the top of the ramp is 50 or 80% brightness? The manual says 50, but I’ve read in some places that it’s 80%.

It depends on how you measure it. It’s probably 80% of the ramp steps which is about 50% the lumens.

I got 700 (2.8A) lumen at top of ramp and 1200 (5.5A) lumen on turbo. So make of it what you will.

So it means if we use the ramping UI, we can’t access between 50 and 100% lumens? That’s not cool.

I also found what appears to be a firmware bug. See if anyone can reproduce it.
In ramping UI, with strobes disabled, if the ramping is at maximum (50%), double click turns on turbo, but double click again turns off the flashlight.
If ramping is at any other brightness other than maximum, double click turns on turno and double click again returns to the previous ramped brightness.

I’m pretty sure yesterday it worked well, today it’s not working. I performed a factory reset and nothing changed. My firmware is 1.3.

Any tips?

It’s only like 1 step. There is not a lot of difference.

This has been discussed before. Was it not in this thread? Maybe it was another GT Mini thread. It’s just a quirk.

Thank you Jason for your help!

Ok thanks

It was talked about in this very thread 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for your patience Jason. I read the whole thread before I had the light in my hands and somehow I forgot it was mentioned here. Guess I’m getting old. And like chadvone said, I too find it annoying this glitch.

No sweat, I forget stuff all the time.

does anyone know what size mcpcb the GT mini uses?

Thanks! Another message sent to Neal. I'll keep you updated.

my early sample was 16mm, buzt ZozzV6 had several open and says they are 20mm

i bought a SST-40 led for my GTmino but i can’t seem to remove the bezel, how did you guys do it?

Hi, Is it possible somehow fix or rotate rubber switch cover, because it's rottated too much to the left?

You can pry the press fit retaining ring up & rotate the switch cover / switch to your liking. That might be more trouble than it is worth though…. but that depends on how much it bothers you.

You mean i need to rotate a silver ring with some tweezers and not a rubber cover?

No, the “silver ring” (retaining ring) is holding the “rubber cover” in place. To rotate the rubber cover you must loosen or remove the retaining ring. Then rotate the rubber cover & press the retaining ring in again to hold the cover.

The retaining ring is a ‘press fit’ so you must somehow pry it out to remove it.

IIRC someone in this thread showed how they did it, pictures included. I do not have time to hunt it up now. But if you have not found it by the time I get back home I’ll find it & post it here.
