Fireflies E07 preview

Pretty sure lightning mode utilizes the full DD capability and is not influenced by the ramp setting.

Shirnask, great pics, shows quite clearly that FF was listening and I, for one, love it!

Edit: Mine is at the local Post Office, scheduled for delivery tomorrow (Monday)

It’s a lot of fun, I’d love to see Acebeam implement lightning mode on the X70-GT.

I’d feel like The God of Light and Thor at the same time. Turning night to day or creating lightning.

I have Anduril on my 458 Ham’r (25,000 plus lumens) and it is, indeed, a lot of fun. All that’s missing is the thunder…

Time to add a speaker and fake thunder sounds synced to Lightning mode to the Ham’r? :smiling_imp:

Does fireflies have any plans to make big light?? Like the size of the acebeam x70gt with the 48 xhp 35 hi ?

Can the illuminated button be switched off?

At night I would like to only have the aux LEDs switched on.
And the button off…

Holy shot! That would be sweet! Maybe 48 White Flat 2mm at 1.5MCD would be a dream come true. Imagine using Anduril lightning mode. That will make you truly feel like Thor like Flashaholic said.

But I have a feeling they wouldn’t want to make something that expensive. At that price, people will be expecting perfection, which is unlikely to achieve for a light of this calibur, and some will be taking advantage of Paypal disputes to get free lights from them for minor imperfections so there’s too big of a risk to make such an expensive light. I hope I’m wrong and FF does have plans to make world record breaking lights at the top end.

Quick calc, 1.5 Mcd with a 1mm white flat would require a 10cm reflector, just one 18650 would do the job. The 2mm2 white flat would need a bigger reflector, and more than one battery would be most convenient.

Don’t think so but you can always have the illuminated button face away from you if it bothers you.

But I’m wishing for 60k+ lumens at 1.5MCD.

^so do I, but I’d be ok with the limited output if the light is kept lightweight and compact (I’m still in favor of the box format, batteries and electrical parts at the side of the reflector, led mounted directly on a finned heatsink).

Nope. Two of the four button LEDs are hardwired to power, and can’t be turned off without disconnecting power. The other two are controlled in sync with the aux LED board, so it can’t have one on while the other is off. :frowning:

Tapping 3 times adds a 30 minute timer to candle mode, does 6 taps add an hour?

Yes

how does one then get back to square one?

Interesting to see what is next for Fireflies. Each of their 3 offerings have been quite different.

Fireflies v Hank Wang
Acebeam v Imalent

Intriguing battles…

In case they did, just a few suggestions:

Soda can size with heavy duty heat sinking, don't care if it's heavy as long as it can run turbo for a little longer than normal.

4 x 21700 with "no" battery pack.

Led with individual battery voltage readout.

and finally, as nice looking or better than an E07

I received my E07 yesterday and it’s glorious! Clear XPL-HI with purple leds. Everything in great condition. The very amusing thing is that the “tracking” still shows no movement since December 24th and that it’s still waiting in Fremont, CA awaiting USPS pickup. I was planning on contacting Fireflies tomorrow as it would have been 3 weeks since the first and only “tracking” update. Thankfully, the flashlight appeared yesterday which was quite surprising as I’d been monitoring the tracking site everyday.

How long total did it take you to get your light? Order-arrived?
