Not this thread, some other one, but I mentioned my first dispute with some beauzeaus (that’s french) who shipped 6 cheaper items vs 3 cheap and 3 fancy.
Seller’s “offer” was “no refund, no replacement”. Ha! Rejected that, AX got involved, found in my favor. Waiting for their response, but I imagine I’ll be seeing a refund pretty soon.
Their loss, ’cause I offered in messages to pay the difference between cheap and fancy, as long as they’d send the fancy ones. Now, seems they’ll be refunding me for the 3 fancy ones in full.
Still not quite sure how that worx, though. Total was 3.53×3, or 10.59, but the refund amount popped up as 9.51 or something. Couldn’t change it.
Still, it’s better than getting only the difference…
One other parcel (different seller) that’s still stuck at “label created” since 11.11, I asked, and was told to file a dispute and they’ll refund me. Hmm. Okay, but 01-14 is when some note says I can apply for a refund if no-show, so I’ll wait that day or so.
The issue is with individual stores more then aliexpress. I’ve had good experience ordering from the Convoy store but I’ve had issues with some other stores on there not shipping.
Choose a reputable seller (based on tenure, number of sales, shipping options, buyer feedback) and things will probably be ok. Sellers that don’t offer ePacket, China Post SP+, or CP Airmail are immediately eliminated from consideration. Not going to take chances with any other carriers.
The only time I’ve had an issue (having bought more than just flashlight stuff) is with a seller that didn’t use the specified shipping method. It took longer, but eventually arrived.
I’ve placed 6 orders from different sellers. 4 were delivered no problem, the other two had the same issue. Both sellers provided tracking numbers that followed the package’s progress, however the tracking numbers weren’t for my order. Both packages were delivered to cities at least 400 miles from me. The first seller shipped my package only after I told them they had provided the wrong number (as in, they didn’t say the package was already shipped here is the right tracking number, they waited to ship until after I complained) and I just opened a dispute on the second one (ordered 11/11) as the seller says the package was delivered.
I’ve placed several orders from Fasttech and some Chinese dealers on Ebay in the last 2 months and received all of them within a month. They all came from the same general area in China that this second order from AE is coming from.
I already know that AE is comprised of many different stores but this second try on getting these items are from a store that a couple of members here have ordered from awhile back and they received their orders. Just very frustrating.
What experience should I expect if I were to order through AE from the Sofirn Official Store? I see a light being advertised through AE that looks like a super deal (the Sofirn SF13 for $9.37) and AE says I get $3 just for signing up, which would seem to mean I’d only be paying $6.37 for this flashlight. But after reading about so many problems, I have to ask. It does almost seem too good to be true.

Is everything else in the deal legit, such as the price of the item at $9.37 for a light that has the same look and specs of a Quark light that used to cost $78? And that $3 thing just for signing up with AE—would I actually be able to use that for this order? Is there also a shipping charge?
AE is just a platform for sellers, nothing more. You don’t avoid ebay completely just because one seller is rotten to the core.
AE has a very nice refunding process - worked for me every time and since an open dispute is bad for the seller (in some way idk) you hold all the aces.
Just an example from minutes ago - the AE tracking sais “shipment cancelled” for one order - it usually takes like 5 Minutes until a dispute like that gets settled in my favor.
Is AE open for business during the Chinese New Year? For the last 4 or 5 days every time I try to login to check tracking on my Convoy order AE is requiring me to complete “Identity Verification” which never sends a text with the verification code.
I have had horrible luck with aliexpress. late orders, orders never arrived and fake claims with counterfiet products. NOT ONE TIME has Aliexpress help me get a refund. Their buyer guarantee is a joke. Ali or their sellers will never get any more of my money.

Order from the Sofirn store on AE & you will be just fine. They are 110% legit & their customer service is the absolute best!!
“Problems” can occur no matter where or who you order anything from…… stuff just happens sometimes. That is where good customer service is worth it’s weight in gold. Sofirn Customer Service is top level!!
All I did to trigger their security system was track my Convoy order from my iPad, from my home with the same external IP as my laptops!!
Their security system allows you to change your password, but then prevents login with the new password. So much for my work around, guess I wait 3 to 5 days.
I actually HATE ordering from AE but their stores have items you cannot get anywhere else including BangMeGood, Gearbest, Fasttech, or whatever Chinese site that advertises here.
Sorry you’ve had such bad luck with refunds with AE but like I stated in my original post, AE at least refunded me in a very timely manner without me taking up a dispute with Paypal. Also, I would NEVER order from a store on AE that doesn’t except Paypal.
As an aside, I’m still awaiting the item I ordered a second time from another store that others have had good luck with ordering the exact same item and they received it in under a month. It’s now over 5 weeks. It really is hit or miss when ordering from China.
AE has the problem that there is no real human customer support. If you have a problem, that is not standard and you can’t solve it with a few clicks in their system, you are screwed. I spent a lot of money there, but after that one problem with Elfeland store on AE, I’ve decided to never buy there anything again if I can find it anywhere else. Yes, I did not lost much and it happened only once, but the problem is in how they work and that they don’t have canceled customer support. It means that it can happen again anytime.
