1. As long as the driver has a spring either should work.
2. If the batteries have to make a series connection they must touch positive to negative. If they don’t, either use buttontops, solder b(. )( .)b, or use the connector. Some people use magnets, I do not. To me that method sux.
3. Some battery carriers are designed to accept ‘button top’ batteries only due to reverse polarity protection constructed in the carrier. So you must use buttontops, correctly sized solder b(. )( .)bs, or remove the reverse polarity protection designed in the carrier.
4. Resistance between flat tops & button tops is negligible for my purposes.
5. The Battery Connector probably adds a bit of resistance too, but to me it is not enough to matter one way or the other.
use good cells like keeppower which are protected and raised flat tops they will make contact, or unprotected like efest both works its up to you, i wouldnt use that connector really might aswell buy the batteries with built in top instead.
Good, glad it did help gracia85 & your welcome, it was my pleasure!! . :+1:
I have a bunch of Liitokala 26650’s I use. I did not want to use magnets (that sux… ) and really did not want to solder b(. )( .)b them because about half of them just happen to work in series.
Soooo, I just use the Jaxman Battery Connector when need be. It works great!!! . :+1:
Well, that is very easy.
Just unscrew the bezel, take out the reflector, (check if you dont accidently remove the gasket around the led), insert new reflector, screw on the bezel, done!
You can also visit the ShockLi store at AliExpress, where you can get button top variant of the ShockLi 5500mAh unprotected 20A continuous current battery - which means far more runtime at the maximum designated output compared to when it is used with the older Keeppower protected batteries.
I got something similar - along the lines of “choose your option”, but the only choice available is refund, so I am not responding.
I will be very upset if they cancel and refund, this happened with my last Banggood order as well.
they should honor the price since it was a legit promotion ? but perhaps they got swamped with orders more then they had units or something that can explain some lights will not ship out sadly i dont know ?
I contacted the online chat to make sure the order is not cancelled, this is their response, I got the transcript emailed to me as evidence in case they do still cancel:-
