Oh, the M1 carbine !! One of the first rifle my old man used to own…including his Garand, and later the Walther PP.
Springfield m1896 Krag, chambered in caliber .30-40 Krag.
Two of them. Top one was used in the Spanish American war by Company B, 4th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry
I used to have a 1903 a3 Smith Corona, the one firearm I regret selling the most. I have a Garand that I would concider 80 plus percent. I also have an m38 Swede I really like. My German K98 still has all the markings on it which I really enjoy.
I wish I would of taking pics of all the firearms I restored and built back in the day. I’m working on a 1939 Remington Model 11 restoring and modifying it a bit, sort of like this one…but it will be a 7 rounder non SBS.

Hand fit the new stock, still working on fitting the new fore end stock, not pictured, the old one still works. Will do all the external metal prep/finishing after a couple hundred rounds of shake down, then tear down and send out all metal parts re-finished. New barrel and magazine tube with mods is on the way. Got all the internal parts refurbished or new, hammer, hammer roller, hammer spring, sear, new springs, firing pin, firing pin guide, lock back block latch, Browning Auto 5 Fast load 2pc Carrier fitted, carrier spring and dog, action spring, action tube, action spring plug and so on…. well you get it….
I’m trying to get pics of the 1943 Remington Model 8 in .35 Remington I did for a buddy, it was his Grandpa’s. Very Unique firearm, history rich, well worth looking up. It also had some unique features, add on’s and mods done to it back in the day, with even more interesting reading on the manufactures who made these specialized parts. Here is a pic I found on the interweb of the Model 8 Remington.
Both of these type/model of firearms have stories linking these types of weapons to Bonnie&Clyde Barrow interesting reads…

That looks like the original 1903. Not an A3. I could be mistaken but the A3 has a peep sight at the rear of the receiver and not a leaf sight. It’s been a while since I’ve dealt with them but I think I’m right. Maybe.

You are right about mine not being an A3, Hondarider. But it is not an A1 either. The serial # dates it to 1919 production and it has the straight stock whereas the A1 (AFAIK) did not; A1 had the curved grip, sometimes called pistol grip. That is allgoing by a potentially faulty memory. But the serial # does indicate 1919 production. 100 years old this year. 
At least that is what I have written on the tag on its case.
