Lumintop GT micro

I referenced the (current) single largest trade war in the history of man not only affecting this forum but every single transaction performed here and its reference to this thread. I am not the first and I won’t be the last.

I invoked the name (only) of our Lord and savior no differently than I have witnessed hundreds others do for years up here without a word said by anyone.

If you’re receiving pressure from (?) to not only suppress reality but ban all mention of Jesus Christ in general as is the case (where?)…then do what you have to do or whatever the (?) tell you to.
Believe me, the next time that you kick somebody out of here for simply mentioning Jesus Christ?…you’ll take a whole lot of others out of here at the same time who could care less if anyone is offended by the offhand mention of his glorious name or not. Study up:

Interested!

You need to go to the link in THIS POST and fill out the interest form the link in the post takes you to.

I was just made aware of this thread, not sure what all has been going on and don’t have time to go back and read it but I should be able to awnser any questions.

Tom, about the source code being posted, I posted all the firmware for the lights I have worked on in TK’s firmware thread recently and she said she was going to add them to the repo IIRC.

Any light that I work on feel free to contact me and I am happy to give the source code. I always try to upload the firmware after it is finalized, it just usually get buried in threads.

Thank you!

Ahh, ok, cool! That's a big help. Thanx! It's very confusing what Lumintop, BG, and Neal's site are doing - sometimes mentioning both NarsilM and Anduril in one page, sometimes leaving out any mention of the firmware or even UI. I thought, according to TK, they should be including the link to the source code used, but that's not exactly happening, least not a direct link, but for us, that's ok to follow in the repository.

Yeah, getting the firmware hosted someplace and then a link included has proved much more difficult then you might think. The repo / Threads on BLF is a much simpler way for us to keep track of it.

Plus since we basically know everyone that makes these drivers it should not be hard to track down the source code for a BLF firmware based light.

I know I have no problems sharing it.

If the code used in the driver is under the GPL, then they must supply “access” to the code in order to be in compliance. I may be wrong, but I think it isn’t legally required that they link directly to it. Beyond that, I don’t know what their rights and responsibilities are.

These manufacturers, suppliers, and online retail stores are legally required to provide access to the code. Nobody should have to dig for it or track it down.

I agree with that, the problem is actually making that happen. This is further complicated by the fact that the firmware is often not finalized until after the product pages are made and sent out.

Then you have the issue of actually hosting the code, all the manufactures I talked to didn’t have a clue how the website works much less how to host something like this. Which is where my efforts to get links posted really feel apart. Without it being hosted there is no way to have a link.

It sounds crazy but I totally believe it. Even where I work there's major disconnects between marketing/sales/product dev/service. Stupid things like screen capture images can't be corrected because the website will be out of sync with the brochures - doesn't matter to them that it's all wrong, etc....

Ohhh, on top of that, where I work all these depts. are in the same building, speak the same language - no external support needed. Betta a BG or Lumintop are wayy more spread out.

I’m in

Cool, I am getting a few. Would like to see a AAA version.

yes rumors says there will be gt nano but we will have to wait a little more for that to happen

After that, there needs to be a GT Collector’s Pack with every light in the series, all in a nice collectable store/display/carry case! :money_mouth_face:

Only buying it if, instead of calling the lights by their names they call each one something not flashlight related at all. There’s 5 lights so maybe like “Earth” “Wind” “Water” “Fire” and “Aether” or something…
I was gonna suggest the seasons but that’s already been done.

In for one CW

We can play GT Golf, where we select the light that gives us the perfect range to each target…

I would buy it, a GT Collector’s Pack with every light in the series, all in a nice collectable store/display/carry case!

Yikes! Such a collector’s pack would surely come in North of 4 Benji’s!
