Can't the flats be set to line up with the button by loosening the battery tube slightly until they line up then tightening the tailcap holding it in place? At least that what someone else recommended long ago and I have did ever since. Of course, that won't help to line up the strap attachment point.
Something like the charging indicator in the Convoy BD01 would be coll too.
They use transparent centering-pieces with path through the MCPCB and shell to a LED on the driver.

Would there be any downsides if the GT4 came with Andúril instead of NarsilM 1.3, so the AUX-LEDs could be controlled somehow? I assume it's not only about the software but possibly also about more complicated hardware (more channels/pins to control auxiliary functions like with the ROT66 that first came with NarsilM and later on with Andúril?). I doubt that customers interest would be substantial if the AUX-LEDs were hardwired with the side switch only and only light up when it's in standby mode with no chance to deactivate it.
