Texas_Ace BLF Calibrated Lumen tube / Sphere No math skills needed - Several spheres still available

Sorry, my L6 has long been modded.

If you want to send a light my way I would be happy to take some readings and send it back if you want.

I’ll charge up a couple 30Q’s and test for you. Before I received the calibration lights I wasn’t getting more than 2850 lumens and at that time it was reading slightly high.

I only just now saw this post. LOL! I wish my channel had the views that Blippi does!

I think the consensus was the CW was around 3100 to 3200. The NW was a bit less. These might be older readings, I’m not sure.

My L6 has long been modded. I did just recently buy a Thorfire S70S and test it out. It should be very similar in output to the L6 since the current draws are very close. I measured it at 2930 to 3000 lumen depending on the battery I used. Link is in my signature.

2770 lumens using 30Q’s with NW tint

My TA tube is within 1-2 lumens of the Maukka lights

Okay well, I am getting 2825 so I guess that’s right on par. I was just really not expecting it to be that low. Thanks for the data men!

Maybe TA could change the name to the lumen heart breaker tube. I know it’s broke mine a few times. :confounded:

That’s about right… I have a l6 from skylumen… one single mode and it read 3100 lumen.

Those were exactly my thoughts when i took my reading, thought there was something wrong with my lumen tube. Thanks for sharing your result.

I should also point out that my tube is not a TA one. It’s one I made, which I think validates the idea that were all heading in about the same direction.

Is your result at turn on or 30 sec?

I get just above 2800 at turn on & 2770 after 30 sec

Yes. All my results are at 30 seconds unless otherwise stated

Hey Matt, have you used your new lumen tube to measure the gbx3590 GT you built? I think the led is rated for 3.6A (14,000 lumen), but the driver can only do 3.2A so it’s not being pushed hard. I’m curious what you measure. At least 10k lumen? Maybe 12k?

I did play around with it. IIRC it gave me right at 14k. This week and next I am doing a lot more serous testing that includes some descent climate control and as many other variables as I can squash so I will re-test that light as well in the batch.

WTF does this have to do with the thread?

Hey everyone! First of all, big shout-out to Texas Ace for building me another tube. I took some measurements of my lights (I don’t have Maukka’s calibration lights yet) and figured I’d post my results here too in case anyone was curious.

You don’t really need Maukka’s lights since yout tube was already calibrated. I guess it doesn’t hurt to have them, though.

Hi, I would like also to purchase one, 3.5”, paypal, ship to 97236. Thanks!

Oh, a neighbor has joined BLF - welcome.

Thanks for the welcome and hello to everyone! I am new to this forum stuff
