I was surprised when so many people chimed in on my suggestion to go clear ano, didn’t really plan to buy an E07 but when they actually DID the clear I kinda had to and am very pleased that I did. They did a really good job with it, very nice light. And Lexel’s Aux board is a work of art in and of itself! I only wish the optic didn’t have the frosted blank area so the fancy schmancy PCB would show through!
Those that have the clear anno version… does the tailcap lock out reliably like the regular anno versions? I’ve had clear anno lights before that cant be reliably locked out because the anno in the threads is not very good…
Any word on these special editions I’ve been hearing about? I love my E07 enough that I want another, but will wait for a stainless or titanium option.
Yep - locks out fine. It's truly anodized so should. I think if you guys saw/felt the clear ano, you'd be fine with it - titanium and SS have issues, heat for one... It's still a nice lightweight carry.
My pics were done quickly - they aren't doin it justice.
Agree with Dale - everything about this light is a work of art - the UI/firmware, the AUX LEDs, the design, finish, the tint/beam of the LEDs and optics......
Blue - The clear E07 is the only one I own. I got one ROT66 (pre AUX LED's), one PL47, and now one E07. Boy, you think I'm nuts and have 100's of lights? Ohhh, yea, guess I do... I'll make the room for the FW3A(s), I'm one of the first ones on the list.
A few pics of my raw aluminum E07. The aux are purple but look blue in pics. Plastic cap over the tail cap so I can hold it in my mouth at work and not chip my teeth. Tint of these XPL HI 5000k are gorgeous. I’m surprised how low the moonlight is even with 7 leds on. I’m ready for my gray one to get here before I scuff this thing up anymore. I’ve already dropped it several times.
My LED's are definitely SST-20's (pulled the optics to check) and best I can tell from the scribble on the box is they are 4000K. The beam pattern looks so smooth and silky.
The 5000K's have the lower CRI but a lot more output and throw. I got some on order to see how they do - appears you should get more throw than XPL HI's.
