The wuben e05 is on sale right now for $25.99 and comes with a battery and a diffuser think thats worth it.
Great choice Wuben E05. I did review of this awesome light. Great quality and value.
Cheap they got.
Ohhh, now that’s just mean…
Yep, I agree… excellent choice. If your interested, check out m4dm4x.com; you might find a bit better deal.
The Astrolux A01 is on sale, and I think it wold be a good chhoice. Also maybe even better is a Lumintop EDC 01. I bought a couple for about $12 for 2.
Both lights are within your stated amount, ans so is the Lumintop Tool AAA.

Can anyone recommend an EDC 1*AA , high output 150-250LM, with a color temperature of 3000-4500K, possibly Hi-CRI, no low frequency PWM, quality flashlight in the $10-$25 range?
Thanks very much.

Sorry, I can’t with that CCT.
BUT… if you ever want a pretty neat AAA try the Astrolux A01 Nichia 219B
I just picked up a couple the other day & I am very impressed. Not sure what the CCT is, but it is very pleasant.
Astrolux A01 Nichia 219B
I have this, I’m quite pleased. But for other tasks, EDC 1*AA is needed.

Easy. The convoy T2 13.98€ |Convoy T2 AA taschenlampe|Taschenlampen| - AliExpress
You can ask him to put any LED inside.

I would say Jaxman E3. I can’t remember if it has PWM, but ticks all the boxes if you chose the warm white Nichia. It has 3 modes and is a very robust flashlight!
BTW, the Convoy T2, even being a great light, has PWM in some modes!
EDIT: Jaxman E3 has PWM on middle mode (i put some pics here and Jaxman confirmed PWM on middle mode)

If only it wasn’t for the CCT, I’d say the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 is a dead ringer. Maybe if you wait they’ll come up with a Nichia version like the Tool AAA.
Jack Kellar, Oh yes, I very much want a Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 with a Nichia!
I would say Jaxman E3
Yes, I looked at him. But: High mode 350Lm and 2.4A, it should be very hot, especially on Nichia. High mode 200Lm for Nichia seems more prudent to me.

Yes, I agree with that recommendation, BUT read the comments on the linked page, as it now comes with the dreaded next-mode memory.
And there are a couple of fixes mentioned — a temporary one, the pencil line mod, which lasts a day or two.
And a permanent one:
it is worth of modding, adding a 100k Ohm SMD resistor on top of brown capacitor in the driver, just by the red output wire to the emitter. That shortens memory mode to about 5 seconds.
BLF will last as long as manufacturers continue to ship crappy flashlights.
My 3 pencil modded ones last since a few weeks now. My kid uses his daily and it still resets after two seconds.
But I agree we should not need to do this at all in the first place.
Does anyone have a source of the needed 100k Ohm SMD resistors?
I’d only need four or five of them, maybe a dozen at most.
The sources I find sell them by the hundred.
Arrow. With their free shipping you’ll get several and pay a cent or two, delievered.

You could always do an emitter swap
The Lumintop Tool AA Version 2.0 is a great light. It is $3.00 over your max budget. I can not think of a better AA size flashlight in the price range.
