Which emitter in cell phone?

I have a Galaxy S8 does anybody know which emitter is in this for the camera Flash / flashlight

Teardown sites usually show the motherboard so you may find an image of it there to help identify the led

Please pardon my ignorance, what is a teardown site? I’m new to the Forum not really sure what you’re telling me.

Kinda like “Will it blend?”, only minus the blender.

They’ll crack open the case, disassemble its innards piece by piece, to see what goodies lurk within.

I didn’t know there was a site that does that but I have to totally understand. I used to take things apart when I was a kid to to see how they work just never knew how to put them back together again.
I was just curious if anybody knew what that emitter was.
Actually I didn’t mention it but I was more interested in finding out if anybody ever put a Snap-on or clamp-on reflector on a cell phone light , to see if they could get it to throw further instead of being so floody. I love to MacGyver things to.
Much like a lot of people on this forum , and say yeah that’s a pretty good light, how can we make it better.

Osram oslux ux:3 chip
4500k 150 lux

Technical data:
Luminous efficacy 150 lx at 320 mA
Package dimensions (9.0 x 6.0 x 2.9) mm
Radiation angle (1,062 x 808) mm illumination target window
Color temperature 4,500 K

S8 uses the same as S7 or at least measured the same

I like how they don’t even bother to use a Samsung LED.

There are companies that make various clamp-on lenses for cell phone cameras.
Come up with a clamp-on reflector that turns your cell phone light into a thrower.

Nah, even better:

How about we do a cell phone accessory that is relatively low cost with an SST-20 95CRI with a mule mode for photos, and a small lens for more throw?

Actually, I could actually engineer something like this.

Who’s ready to backup my Kickstarter ;D?

Yeah well good Ol’ CRX got us all excited and werked up there for a bit.

See Post #5.

why do people always go with more throw on cell phone camera/LED

Use a special Macro lens with LED light ring and do a kickstarter campain for it, will sell better

Huh I hadn’t actually thought about that.

What LED would be best for this?

I thought using about the Luminus MP3030-12ZH in the 95CRI 5700k and 4000k variant, but I haven’t found a suitable MCPCB for it.

Yeah butt aren’t ya just going from essentially a small macro mule to a bigger macro mule? Watts wrong with sum appreciable focused hot spot throw too?

waloshin, editing your previous post quoted here to reduce its insane image size would help a lot with the forum layout when viewed on portable devices. I'd suggest setting it up to 20% or to “fit to width”. Thanks.

:-)

P.S.: Galaxy S8's stock back cover is super fragile. I know from service repairing it.

And taking it on down even more… Perfect fit.
