That’s interesting, I’m pretty sure that my IYP365 (about 2 years old) low is 4 lumens, they must have changed the spec after feedback from the medical profession.
I have found manker in regional store, a bit more expensive but warranty included so i think it will be it. What you think Jon? You told me not to listen to you but what you suggest ? Its cooler white than lumintop i think but i dont think it will be such a difference.
I like the 0.5 lumen low, and the N219b, I dont know what makes you say it is cooler than the lumintop
I dont care for the aggressive bezel, thats a pocket tearer to me
also,
this is a 1 lumen low, and I think it starts on low, although its 219c, and I prefer 219b because it is less green tinted
were getting closer
now you get to think about body styles, my vote would be for a smooth body, the manker body unfortunately is not my personal preference
Yeah i saw preon also cool with Warm price.
I meant that manker has cooler light colour, more like 5k
To be honest, when u mentioned agressive look, im thinking again to give up low-mid-high setup and stay with iyp365. Good quality, price, ok its not the top juyi etc. But do the job. You mentioned 219c and i see they are not making b now? Damn…
Modder told me that aaa size driver are a weakspot and its better to use classic 18650 size. That’s interesting. I will analyze all those we have and compare, good to have free weekend. Thanks everyone !
All in all, after comparing and some thinking, i stay with IYP365 brass option. + To check i ordered BLF Juyi Twisty. Clemence was out of my budget. Zebra a bit too agressive, same manker. Thanks everyone for everything. Hope all of you will find your best light.
I’m a bit late to the party, but I’ll add my comment anyway. I’m a ‘penlight’ nut, and have several.
I just tried comparing the Thrunite Ti4 (neutral) with my IYP365 (219b) - the Thrunite has a far better low, and it’s ‘first in the sequence’. I tried looking into the emitters as if I were doing an eye exam; the IYP is downright painful, while the Thrunite is quite tolerable. This was in a normally lit room, so my pupils would already be somewhat smaller.
The tint of the IYP is undeniably more desirable when compared side by side, but the Thrunite isn’t really all that bad.
I also have some FourSevens Preon 2A’s. One in particular has their briefly offered warm emitter, which is a remarkably pleasant tint, but again low is not nearly low enough.
If I were doing eye exams, I’d have to choose the Ti4. If it were graced with a 219b, it would be as close to perfection as one could find.
