Put you mind at rest gravelmonkey, THE LIST has about as much to do with the Peridoc Table as it does with reality…. which is very, very little . . .
gravelmonkey:
If something’s an element, I propose it’s given its elemental symbol, if it’s anything else, then capital abbreviations:
Hmmm… not a bad idea. This will be taken into consideration & possibly implemented.
gravelmonkey:
I propose FW3DI = Diamond (okok, yes I know I’m breaking my own rule about elements…)
Or, for the budget version,
FW3MO = moissanite
:sunglasses:
Your suggestions were added gravelmonkey, along with Nev’s & Henk4U2’s. :+1:

Hoping I’m not too late to the party. Please put me down for one!
Fantastic looking light you’ve all made here.
How about a light made from a meteorite. Cabot Guns made a few pistols with it.

Wow…. a matched set. Those are amazing!!
And a list price of only $4,500,000.oo …
I think a FW3Met is definitely in order. :+1:
Interesting reading about the matched set of fully functional Cabot 1911 Meteorite pistols.
.
Edit: Done, FW3Met = Meteorite added. :+1:

Only advice I'd give is .... make extra clips available because they will sell.
Why wouldn't you make extra if people are asking for them ? easy sale .

Yeah but that Vibram sole covering should make it easy to maintain grip…. as well as protect it when dropped. .

My local range has a Cabot Circular pattern Damascus 1911 that has an $8,000 price tag on it.
EDIT: http://cabotgun.com/better-than-custom-1911-pistols/the-damascus-ladder-deluxe/#1
Apparently its “on sale”, MSRP is listed at $10,000

Doesn’t meteorite tend to be brittle? I’d hate to be the first guy to shoot one of those guns to find out if it holds together.
Looks like most of the ware and pressure holding parts arnt from space metal…
The only parts of the Big Bang pistol set that aren’t made of meteorite are the springs, sears, barrels, hammer strut, pins, screws, and slide rails. Everything else—slides, frames, triggers, magazine release, and grips—is pure Gibeon. Speaking of frightening, the guns’ first test firing was a bit daunting.
“I shot one freehand,” says Cabot’s head engineer Mike Hebor, who is right-handed. “I held the gun with my left hand, with my right hand behind my back—you know, just in case.”

I won’t buy a flashlight thrown from the 50th floor with tons of nicks and cracks. :smiling_imp:
I would much prefer an FW3A machined out of ice, to not be burn if it accidentally turn on in the pocket + active cooling for max lumens :+1:

The excerpt below, taken from THIS ARTICLE ; tells what they did.
“The pistols are fully-functional – and resultant of their National Match barrels, accurate; verified both on the rest and in off-hand shooting. Leaving nothing to chance in terms of functionality, our engineers used electron beam technology to meticulously add bimetal support only to the frame/slide rails, hammer, guide rod and extractor of the Big Bang set. – and the pistol’s components, down to the barrel bushing and trigger – are 100% Gibeon meteorite.”

Well after popping in and out it’s just occurring to me - you actually cannot remove that clip , am I right? If that is the case please remove me from the list , I hate clips and don’t have any on my lights.
GOOSE, IF they do not glue the tailcap it can be easily removed. If they do use glue on the tailcap it might be a bit more tricky.
Snip the metal and file it down in worst case scenario.
