Sofirn SP33 26650 e-switch flashlight

I meant to come back in and declare it, got sidetracked. (happens so easily to a feeble mind…)

I understand & can relate.

I don’t really see how mine is different from this link. Did I not cut close enough to the edge of the die?

Here’s Zozz’s pic.

Here’s mine.

Maybe I’m not doing an important step? I’m not sure.

Hmmm…. The only differences I see are.

  • His slice looks a bit smoother than yours
  • His slice ’appears’ to be a tiny bit deeper than yours
  • A couple of your sides could possibly be ‘diced’ a tiny bit more

But, these observations are just made from zoomed in pictures…… so who knows.

Second photo is out of focus so who knows.

Huh? Focus looks the same on both.

+1 Looks in focus to me.

Good news,  this SP33 are available on amazon us now, please contact us@sofirnlight.com or PM us on this forum directly for nice price. Click me to purchase

Is there news when a choice of different CCT (3000К, 4000К, …К) will be available? Competitors are coming.

Some supplemental impressions I would like to share about the new SP33 V2.0 (XHP50.2)

I've tested some batteries. All unprotected 26650s would fit, i.e. the supplied Sofirn 26650 5.500mAh, the Dolidada 5.500mAh (fake PLB-55A cell), the Shockli 5.500mAh and the Keeppower 6.000mAh, both PLB-55A cells. However, I failed to put in a protected Keeppower 6.000mAh as PCB and shrink make it too thick to fit into the battery tube.

The Sofirn lineup for size comparison...

Some tactical lights for size comparison...

Some non-tactical lights for size comparison...

I tried to create some kind of schematic to visualize the user interface. I hope it's useful. I'll be glad for any feedback if you see room for improvements

I also tried to illustrate how the boost driver works i.a.w. the modes and their stepdown behaviour. The dotted lined boxes mean you have to use a doubleclick to get into this mode. The side switch indicator will also work differently depending on the actual voltage of the battery. The 2min-stepdown will only be triggered on Turbo, i.e. 2.500 lumens. Depending on actual ambient temperatures the "high" mode can run stable. My SP33 has automatically shut off once voltage was depleted down to 2.7V, so LVP works.

Last but not least some outside beamshots on Turbo mode (2.500 lumens)

Bottom line: The SP33 V2.0 is a very nice allround flashlight with good thermal management, a hefty body, a simple but useful UI and a very good price/performance ratio.

Cheers,

Thomas

BTW, SP33 also works with 3xAAAs. I tested it with cheap supermarket NiMHs and it works on 400lm about 45 mins perfectly flat regulated. On 1000lm it runs only about half of the second.

Will this ever be offered at Amazon without the battery and charger?

How did you load the 3 AA’s??

Three AAAs (not AAs)! …and with this

My bad, I left out an “A”. :person_facepalming: … Thanks for the link, that will make a nice backup power supply for the SP33!! . :+1:

I tried ordering but…

Greece is not on the Countries list.

Is that intentional? There are a lot of Countries on this list.

Yes. But shipping to some countries like Greece, parcels may returned by customs. In addtion, recently €15 will be charged for every parcel which shipped from outside the European Union and to Greece. Hope you can understand.

Only one time left now

Hey Sofirn, instead of continuing to post that sale, how about responding to your emails of people who have already ordered the batteries over a week ago but got a bogus shipping number and have had no progress on when the item will actually ship?
