liteupmynite i think the bigger will eat up the smaller
Mine does this too. Sometimes have to click 3-5 times for it to turn off. Seems fine otherwise.
Unfortunately I don’t know where it’s from, picked it up on the Flashlight fanatics group on FB.
I’m having some problems. The switch behaves strangely sometimes. It started working fine a few days ago when I loosened bezel a tiny bit. I opened it again today removed the reflector to check something and put it back and it started doing random things again. Like not not detecting clicks and sometimes detecting two. It seems to fix itself sometimes but then starts malfunctioning again.
Many people have/had these switch problems on their GT mini, it sometimes fixes itself when you let light run very hot a few times (mine did) but some people have asked, and got, a new head for their GT mini because of the faulty switch.
Unless I missed someone, I count 19 people to date who have posted about switch problems. They are….

Do the problems with the switches continue or have they been solved with the new models?
I think things have been resolved.

Thanks, I’m going to buy it now that it’s on sale ($ 29.90 with 18350 tube).
I got a new head (I think) from Neal. I said I think because I'm currently travelling until the end of March but I'm sure the package they showed me a picture of must be the new head from Neal. In other words all should be fine now but I'll report again after I'm home.
Big thanks to Neal anyway!
I just received mine from Banggood and have the switch problem, I’ll have to talk to them to see what solution they give me.

Don’t cave in prematurely.

wow switch problems still? i thought that was just a few early batches of this light… :person_facepalming: i guess they still have stocks of the older batches it seems…
I and others got a new head replacement from Neal, not sure how banggood are gonna but i hope they solve it for u.
ask them to send a replacement head because broken switch is clearly faulty light and not you who caused it.

Any luck with getting a replacement?

Banggood asked me for pictures and video of the problem, I sent it to him and they told me to wait 48 hours to see how they solved it.
It has been 4 days since the last message, so if I don’t get an answer I’ll talk to Paypal to return it.
Earlier this week I ordered one at Banggood. I hope the switch will work fine.

seems it depends, if they have still early batches left u might get a faulty switch, if newer version should be ok, goodluck.
With only 19 reported switch issues out of like a 1000 lights, I’d say your odds are very low to get a problematic one.
/\ I totally agree. Switch issues are very random & far between. As Jason mentioned, 19 reported of around 1000 is only 1.9%… if I did my math right.
In the big scheme of things… that is not bad at all.
Sucks though to be one of the 1.9… just sayin.
Yeah.
I’ve also discovered the source of the problem: the switch cover doesn’t fit well in its stock position, meaning switch presses are unlikely to register well, if at all.
Just rotating it a bit fixes the problem entirely.
I would prefer the issue having it fixed stock though. 1,9% is high still.
