Is it real? 12x Nichia 219B 3356lm for 1.5hrs Eagtac MX30L4-XC

I was looking at Eagletac today which seems to be a brand not many people around here talk about? First thing I noticed was holy hell do they carry TOO many lights! :open_mouth: Nevertheless, I decided to dig around not knowing much about them except that they’re a serious high quality and high price flash light producer.

I stumbled upon what appears to be a true hidden gem!?

http://eagtac.com/html/mx30l4xc/specs.html

Eagtac MX30L4-XC
12x Nichia 219B
4000 lumens max ~ steps down to 3356 lumens sustained for 1.5 hours?
2256 lumens 2.5 hours
1200 lumens 6 hours

How’s this even possible with the heat produced by the 219B’s?

How’s it possible nobody is talking about this light? (I did a search and there’s not one BLF post about this model)

More importantly: is Eagtac as premium and reputable as they seem to be?

My main appreciation for Eagtac is from Vinh…. below is a youtube video I watched a couple years ago where he showed off an Eagtac light that he said was worth $650 I’m assuming in the UK (only retailed for like $300 in North America when I checked years ago… The eagletac light he’s talking about he references as being more expensive than the Acebeam X65

skip to 21:00 and he brings out the Eagletac
skip to 21:55 and he discusses the Eagletac price vs the TN65 and others

Not possible. Especially not at 42W (max output of driver according to specs).

The Meteor needs over 80W for 4500 otf lumens with these Nichia 219B V1s.

The biggest problem is the heat. Don’t expect much more than 2000lm continuously from that host with such inefficient LEDs.

That’s the LED lumens, OTF (Ansi FL-1) are being quoted just underneath on the same page as:
3210 max with 2691 step down
1812 2.6hrs
962 6hrs

I’ve have/have had a few lower end Eagtacs, i’ve found the specs to be quite reliable.

Those values seem plausible.

Cool

I don’t think that $650 relates to the UK though, currently available around £150 and don’t think that price has changed much. In the video he referes to it as something LVN, does that means it’s one he’s modified?
Edit - The MX30L4-XC is currently £150 but it’s not the one in the video, i think the video is showing the MX25L3-C which is about £90.
