Maglite 3C mod - old school style (picture heavy)

Much respect both for your skills and your decision to see it through, and while money might buy better performance it can’t buy the sense of accomplishment i hope you feel with this build.

Just curious, did you use the Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive to glue the threads between the head and driver section? If someone tries to turn the head off it will twist the wires….

Thanks again for your comments

Yes, Epoxied permanently (arctic alumina).

:+1:

Ingenious, I love the copper and cap screw belt. Well considered details throughout. A very unique take on a favored mod host.

Gotta pic a nit though, that’s a 3C not a 2D.

I also thought it looked kind of skinny for a 2D

It was an honest mistake :person_facepalming: . Thanks for the clarification  , I’ll change the thread title.

No problemo

Great job! Being a big fan of Maglite I love it!

Beauty mod Cula!

Not only do your mods impress, they inspire others to pick up the hobby!

Didn’t think it was anything else. Great build.

Does a D cell head fit a C cell body?

Okay, this is a super pretty piece with an interesting making-of process. Definitely deserves a bump.

Aside from lumens and heat production, how does it perform?

Awesome work!!!

You made me remember OldLumens…!

Awesome work!!
Not only you have the skills but also the vision of how to create something beautiful :+1:

Yeah, that sounds like pure filler for a future spam account.

Why is it that all the spammers for research paper writing websites are horrible at posting coherent spam?

I mean, shouldn't they hire spammers that are proficient at English?

You sure these aren’t procedurally generated texts, Rac?

Bugger, I missed one? I immediately flag ’em as spam.

Same with those that have a 1-liner like “Wow, that’s great!” but in their .signature have a link to awesomegames.com or freetermpapers.com or some other idiocy.
